I sure want to hear your spin on why this does not count.

Bin Laden determined to strike US......

And?

ACTIONABLE intelligence?

The document says Bin Laden wanted to strike the US. Where? When? With what weapons?

I can see it now....

"Bin Laden may strike us. We don't know when. We don't know how. We don't know with what people. We don't know what weapons will be used.... Now go out there and stop it"

Hold up I can spin this I have watch enough foxnews in my day.
In 2004 while g.w. Bush was keeping us Americans safe.
Obama was the keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic National Convention but what did he know about the 9/11 attacks? Let's face it he shares a similar name and religion with these people...

Oh yes. Bush was keeping us all safe by attacking Iraq, which had nothing to do with the attack. Meanwhile Obama of course as we all know is a Muslim terrorist from Kenya of course.

And you forgot Obama was not born here and also he took every nra members guns. Now how can a none America whom hate guns be a good President? (Damn shame the hate and disrespect the GOP showed this man)

Oh, I remembered he was born in Kenya. I did forget about the part of him coming and getting all of our guns though. Not to mention he was a lizard person you know.

Not to mention the fact he only made race relations in this country worst (just completely disregarding the previous 200 years plus of Presidents before him) yet with all this powers to do all these things the GOP still consider him weak too... Unbelievable.

If we were to take a closer look at the day by day acounts of these 2 administrations, clearly Obama wins. How quicky the gop forgets the mess they made. One of the dumbest things i heard on fox news was we were safer under bush AFTER 9 11. Well did it happen on the gop watch. Give me a break Obama has been cleaning up the mess bush and his war buddys made for over 5 years now.

Barack Obama, George W. Bush: Who Was The Worst President? [Poll]

Obama started a few war messes of his own that directly contributed to increased terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.

Not true on any level. Airstrikes are not starting a war in this current environment. Bush invaded two nations one
Afghanistan we still fighting the other one we still in Iraq although we not fighting them anymore we are now helping them.
Libya
Yemen
Uganda
Pakistan
Obama might have sent special forces and order airstrikes in these nations but no way would I call them a war.

Of course you wouldn't, you're not the one fighting it or being bombed.

How childish and irresponsible is it to 6 years into a administration to STILL blame the last President ?

Yeah, you see when the President before you was that ****ing back it makes perfect sense. Especially when every single solitary thing you try and do to fix the problems caused by that president are filibustered by his political party.

I'm still amazed by the bs we still in all caused by this guy.:(
What in the hell are we doing?

16 years later and after this guy saying the mission was won. We are still in Afghanistan Iraq is a mess Syria is hell on earth wake up America WTF are we doing. Not to mention our political problems with Russia Iran and north Korea WTF?

Obama payed no attention to GOP obstruction.
Like the billions of dollars of illegal payments the Obama administration sent to Insurance companies.

Barack Obama, George W. Bush: Who Was The Worst President? [Poll]

Political ideology and party loyalty has a lot to do with how one views Bush and Obama. But here is something from Gallup: George W. Bush and Barack Obama Both Popular in Retirement

George W. Bush and Barack Obama Both Popular in Retirement | Gallup

How history will judge these two presidents remains to be seen. Historians state that one can't get an accurate or give an accurate rating of a president until at least 20 years after he has left office. This gives it time for the partisanship to die down and to see how a president's policies he instituted at the time effected the United States. How we judge someone while in office or just after they leave office doesn't always coincide with how history judges a president. Approval, favorable ratings change over time as do presidential rankings.

Truman left office with just a 32% approval rating and is now considered one of the near great presidents. He is the 6th best ranked president of all time. Personally, I would rate both Bush and Obama as below average presidents. But I would take either one over the current president. At least at this point in time.

Here's one key difference: Obama left office vastly more popular than Bush. And as Gallup points out, back in 2009 5 months post presidency, Bush was vastly less popular than Obama is 5 months post his presidency. Bush STILL has a lower approval rating than Obama...and he hasn't been president in over 8 years.

As for how history will judge them, like with all presidents, it's completely subjective.

Subjective, just like your's and mind. Each one of us have different things that are important to them and we all have our biases, our likes and dislikes. There's two things that could be at work here and this is subjective on my part. One, as you and Gallup pointed out, Bush has been out of office for 8 years and has remained silent. For a lot of folks, Bush is ancient history. At the end of his term he was remembered for the recession and hence very unpopular, but at the beginning or in his first term he oversaw 9-11 and a united America. Memories are those of which each one of us wants to retain. I know myself, I tend to remember or keep the good, forget most of the bad as time goes by. I think being out of the public eye has been the biggest help to Bush's rise in his favorability among Americans as a whole.

Two, who do we have to compare these last two presidents with? Donald Trump. Now as the article pointed out, when Bush left office, Republicans still had a very favorable view of him, Democrats and independents did not. Democrats have a negative view of a president of the other party is to be expected. Independents in my opinion usually reflect the bell weather of America, not those who are Republicans and Democrats when it comes to these things. Independents gave Bush a 29% favorable rating when he left office, a 56% today. Perhaps a case of absents makes the heart grow fonder.

My most important issue has always been the national debt. Bush added approximately 6 trillion, Obama 8 trillion, both president's get a big fat F from me. Other things rose both presidents from failures to below average as far as I'm concerned. I would only place Carter and Ford below them in presidents I have experienced in my life time. I was born right after WWII.

*Continued

Again another reason our political environment is toxic. So the GOP says Obama set a red line and did nothing. The fact is Obama asked the Senate for permission to use force the Senate never took a vote. So are you telling me in your strange belief system that Obama started a war with Syria?

Of course. He was only blocked from sending our troops in. He wasn't stopped from funding extremists and other groups.
