Bush vs Obama

Bush vs Obama overall who did a better job on all matters.

You do know that under Bush the unemployment rate was more than 6.1% only for 4 months and it is only now,
after 65 months, that Obama got it down to 6.1%, right?
You do know that we lost 2.2 million jobs in Bush's last three months, right?
You also know that we lost 2.2 million jobs in Obama's first three months, which dishonest GOPs try to pin on Obama's long-range record, right?
And you know the unemployment rate topped at 10.4% from Bush's recession during Obama, right?
Therefore, you surely know that comparing the number of months Bush was over 6.1% is a bogus stat, right?

Comparing Bush's numbers to Obama's is like saying:
After Nixon's first day in office, Nixon was responsible for the Americans killed in Vietnam on that first day .

Well, I certainly understand that every President has to deal with world as it is and as it is heading the minute he enters office. Bush had to deal with the 4 years of planning for the 9/11 attack that took place before he became President as well as the seeds planted for the 2001 recession.
So, I will cut Obama some slack. The recession ended on June, 2009. 5 years ago. How much time do you give him? The Carter/Reagan recession which was arguably worse with 10.8 unemployment dropped to 5.8% 5 years after it ended. Unemployment has only dropped 3.4% since the recession ended and a chunk of that, 0.6%, happened in the 6 months since Congress refused to extend unemployment benefits. As Paul Krugman has stated, unemployment insurance increases unemployment.

And I am not too happy about the 21,000 Americans who died in Vietnam after Nixon took office as the peace candidate. And I am not happy about the 2,000 that died in Afghanistan after Obama was similarly elected. Nixon and Obama could have done better.

Obama easily..

Bush was horse****, old drunk who couldn't even speak in complete sentences, and looked hungover half the time, his daddy was **** too that's why Clinton whipped his ass...
Bush allowed 9-11 to happen..
Started 2 wars that turned out to be a failure, whatever happened to those WMDs, LOL..
Pissed away the surplus slick Willie left...
That POS Patriot act...
When the old drunk left in 09 the Dow was around 7 thousand, now it's 17.000
Bush needed help from the SC to win in 2000- Gore won the election, Obama kicked Gop ass in both elections EASILY...

Bush was lucky to be. member of the lucky sperm club, a rich mommy and daddy, otherwise his dumbass would be mowing lawns for a living, or working a a janitor in some redneck bar, the guy was half retarded..

So you don't like Bush?????????

U.S. Constitution was written to govern a frontier society where independence and self-reliance were the order of the day because nothing else could be relied upon. We live in the 21st century and face 21st century threats. The U.S. Constitution is nowhere near equal to the task of governing us anymore. Instead of just getting rid of it and forming a new government and a new constitution the way we should have (at 1860, 1900, and 1945) we've allowed these cancerous growths to form.

At a certain time, formerly useful legal systems become redundant and must be discarded. Hammurabi's Code has enormous flaws, but the idea of a justice system based on abstract principles universal in their application in a society where justice was predicated on family and tribal ties was a great leap forward, echoing from the cradle of civilization across time to work its influence in the laws we enjoy today.

Thanks but no thanks, ill stick with Washington,Madison,Jefferson and Adams.

There's far more evidence than that meme.

The meme insists that their relations is enough. it would be dishonest for you to now say that there is something more. I mean it would have made more since for you to ignore silly relations and actually post something relevant.

There's been tons of evidence posted in the media bias sub-forum for those who can't see the obvious. Besides, you're the one who made the original assertion, so the burden of proof is on you.

You do know that Obama had wealthy grandparents and was sent to the priciest prep school in Hawaii where he met the elite of Hawaii, right? You do know that the increase in the Dow helps the rich and contributed to the fact that the GINI coefficient has increased more under Obama than it did under Bush, right? You do know that Obama continued and expanded the worse stuff that Bush did such as the Patriot Act, drone attacks into Pakistan, the war in Afghanistan, the rise in debt, etc., right? You do know that c. 80% of those Bush tax cuts that should have expired were made permanent under Obama, right? You do know that under Bush the unemployment rate was more than 6.1% only for 4 months and it is only now, after 65 months, that Obama got it down to 6.1%, right?

And we're still hoping for change. Oh well, maybe next time around.

Nonsense.

How childish and irresponsible is it to 6 years into a administration to STILL blame the last President ?

Low information Americans who are easily manipulated have really screwed this Country up.

People that equated platitudes and bumper sticker slogans to Presidential qualifications in 2008 and 2012 have now devolved down to pathetically blaming their profound limitations on a President that hasn't been in office in 6 years.

Obama has made things far worse, and the supposed " mess " he inherited was simply the fallout of a Democrat iniative to mandate " equal credit ".

Do all of us a big favor.

Promise you won't vote for another 20 years
This!

If we were to take a closer look at the day by day acounts of these 2 administrations, clearly Obama wins. How quicky the gop forgets the mess they made. One of the dumbest things i heard on fox news was we were safer under bush AFTER 9 11. Well did it happen on the gop watch. Give me a break Obama has been cleaning up the mess bush and his war buddys made for over 5 years now.

Barack Obama, George W. Bush: Who Was The Worst President? [Poll]

Meh, 6 in one, half dozen in the other. There's no real difference between Bush and Obama.

Mark my words.

By the end of his administration, and the future compiles the history, Obama will be the clear winner of being the worse president of modern times taking that away from Carter. He might become history's worse president ever!

So where did you get the meme from?

Unless Pallin were to become president. I would also think that a actual Communist or a Nazi would be worse. In fact I could think of many people that would worse. How about a Gore White house? And dont forget Hillary. William Henry Harrison, Warren G. Harding, James Buchanan, John Tyler etc there were a lot of really really bad presidents.

bush vs obama 5 random things they did in the 1st year in office

4. Cut funding for research into renewable energy sources by 50%. WHY

Barack Obama, George W. Bush: Who Was The Worst President? [Poll]

Boy this is old.

What this tells me is that even Obama's supporters judge him based on the common denominator of George W. Bush, a figure they have contended was up there with Ford for incompetence.

It would be just sad if it were in any way true. But at this juncture, six years, long enough enough time for a man to create a family, we still get lame excuses and ill-conceived comparisons to a president most Americans had rejected at this point in his administration.

So, I guess to Obamaheads, as long as he can be compared to the worst, it's just fine. They will actually brag on it.

Wasn't "The One" supposed to be the best president ever?

Now we find out he isn't even average.

Compared to the worst president of the previous 150 years (and arguably ever), practically any successor ends up looking like "The One."

Oh?

150 years of failed policies?

Would that include FDR? Kennedy? Eisenhower? Teddy Roosevelt?

You actually think that Obama is better than all of them?

OK

No, GWB was worse. Worse than Johnson, worse than Taft, worse than Harding, worse than Hoover, worse than Nixon . . . you can take it from there.

Bush allowed his cronies to loot the nation and created this recession that we're still struggling with. He turned our national reputation into one of warmongers. I'm struggling to think of a single thing that Bush (not congress) did that benefited our nation.
