No, it wasn't. The only reason it somewhat resembled "stability" was because we had a massive military presence there -- one that was not wanted by them or us. Are you suggesting that preserving Iraq's "stability" was paramount, even if it required the same (or heavier) level of occupation that was neither welcome nor wanted here?

The USA and a few allies invaded Iraq, under the (probably over-hyped and exaggerated) threat of various things from Iraq which have grown quite vague in my memory. Some threat, anyway. WMDs, terrorism, Saddam is a mean person, etc.

I realize that this is a very unpopular opinion, but yes. Government surveillance, which he has authorized via the Patriot Act, is unconstitutional. Bush also should have been impeached for originally signing the Patriot Act into law.

That being said, 99% of those who want Obama impeached have no valid reasons for impeachment except that they irrationally hate the president. In addition, a hypothetical impeachment would be infeasible and inconsistent with other impeachments, but in a hypothetical congressional vote on impeachment in which I had the ability to vote, I would vote in favor.

And please don't try to contact me about your ridiculous plan.

Quite a few people on the right are still whining because Obama beat their guy Romney and they would like to take over the White House by 'other means'.

But it ain't going to happen anytime soon no matter how much they whine.

Very true. And there's no way that a reasonable article of impeachment could be proposed by Republicans without them looking like complete and total hypocrites (being the party that introduced the Patriot Act), so any article of impeachment would read something like "BENGHAZI!"
 
Haha, the last page or so has become hilarious examples of partisanism. I love it! Either Obama is a monster or Bush invaded Iraq because they prosecuted 9/11; no reason for subtlety here, it's debatepolitics!

They can't win fair and square and it will be a long time before they ever control the White House.

Obama is a horrible POTUS.

Yet GWB was even worse, IMO.

If Obama is impeachable..GWB was even more so.


The blame lies with the voters more then the candidates.
If you put a child behind the wheel of a car, it's your fault if the child crashes the car at least as much as the child's.
If the masses keep putting incompetent people at the helm, obviously the ship is going to go off course.

I don't blame the voters that much for initially electing GWB and Obama...they were unknowns. But I blame them 100% for re-electing these crappy POTUS's.
It should have been staggeringly obvious before 2004 and 2012 that the incumbents were doing crappy jobs...yet they were both re-elected.

If Americans want to place blame for their lousy POTUS's...many/most should look in the mirror.

I am not an Obama fan. I don't like the guy. But he was elected president by the people of our country. And since he was elected president, he is the president. All this impeachment talk is basically because people don't like him which to me sounds like a bunch of babies mad they didn't get their way. The reality here is the R lost and the D won. And if this were reversed and the Dems were crying impeachment (and they sure as **** would be) I'd be telling them the same thing. Saying Obama is one of the most corrupt is just dumb too. I hate to break this to you but they are all corrupt. At least during my lifetime. They do what they are told by money and the people who have it. If we didn't impeach the last few presidents, why this one? What is different? He is as deserving as Bush and Bush didn't get impeached. Or anyone prior to that. We the American people have made it ok for our politicians to do whatever they want by seeing what they are doing and continuing to elect these same people.

5 and a half years as Vice President, 36 years in Senate, chaired Judicial & Foreign Relations Committee, 2 failed Presidential runs in primary, 2 years on New Castle County Council.

Biden would only finish Obama's term with the remaining 2 and a half years.

But at least with Obama being impeached, we would most likely effectively prevent a Hillary "What difference does it make?" Clinton presidency. That would be such a disaster.

Horribly inexperienced? Um You forgot 6 years as POTUS. I hear being POTUS is pretty good experience for being POTUS. So I'd say that makes Obama currently the most experienced eligible person to be president.

Yes. The small force that was in Iraq should have stayed there for the next 50 years. Instead the monster did all that he could to destabilize the entire region. It, plus the grave damage he has done to the present and future of the nation may be his only successes. I would include improving his golf game but I think his scores are a state secret.

There isn't going to be an impeachment. Listening to the threadstarter boasts about having a secret plan is like listening to the fat chap talking about starting a real diet this time that is going to work.
Neither will happen. Obama will finish his term and the fat chap will still be fat.

I think we all need to recognize that not all the best answers lay on one side of the political spectrum. We been driven in to this left vs right paradigm, us vs them bull s*** for too long. I'm so tired of this crap. Get over yourselves and your parties. Sure Obama hasn't been the best president. With the amount of money in politics I doubt we'll see a good president for the foreseeable future. Impeaching Obama will only serve to stagnate the government further. But what has he done that other POTUSs haven't?
