erasing IRS emails

Is it newsworthy?

Imo, it's newsworthy. That being said, many people don't agree with me, and don't care about it, because it's not they who have been affected negatively.

Damn, tried that with the boss today. Hmm, funny he didn't believe me.

Lawmakers: IRS Lost More Emails in Tea Party Probe - ABC News

Lost IRS Emails Irk McConnell - NBC News

There is a reason you should not believe MRC any more than you should Media Matters. It took me all of 2 minutes to fact check and find the story is false.

You should have added another minute and noticed that the link in the OP was dated June 16 and says this in the body:

ABC and NBC have failed to cover the story as of Monday June 16, and only CBS This Morning reported on the emails on Monday but their evening news program ignoring the IRS alongside ABC's World News with Diane Sawyer and NBC Nightly News

Your links were from the 17th.

So you are saying his story is out of date already? Of course, it might also have to do with linking first search result. Here, for example, is the 14th: IRS Says It Lost Lois Lerner Emails in Tea Party Probe - NBC News, or from the 13th: Lawmakers Fume Over Lost Emails in IRS Probe - ABC News

There is another 2 minutes of fact checking. It is not hard., The first thing you have to do is stop believing everything you want to be true and actually look.

No, I'm saying that as of June 16, which is what they said, neither network covered it. You posted links from June 17, which were the day after. So unless you have a link prior to June 16 from either ABC or NBC, or a clip from them reporting on air prior to June 16, then the facts in the OP are correct.

Never mind, he deleted the post.

Again from the OP:

Unless there is something missing, your links aren't to broadcasts on their evening news programs prior to June 16, which is what the OP was talking about.

Let me quote again from the source article:

AS you can see, they in fact have.

He's a she, and she missed the links, but she caught her mistake and made a new post.

My apology on the gender mistake.

The link isn't about their websites. You should've read it before you tried to refute it, that way, you know what you're trying to refute.

No worries on the gender mistake. Happens to me all the time. Golen Contrarian still calls me "guy".

Did Diane Sawyer and NBC Nightly News report on it before June 16? That's exactly the 2 shows mentioned in the OP. Unless your links contain footage from either show before June 16, then the OP is correct.

Well, except for your articles headline and story. Both specifically state that ABC and NBC did not cover it, when in fact they did. I know, fact checking is hard, but it really helps you not make stupid mistakes like this.

Did Diane Sawyer and/or NBC Nightly News, the 2 broadcasts specifically mentioned in the OP, cover it before June 16 or not?

No stupid mistake unless you have clips from either show before June 16 proving the OP wrong.

Is Diane Sawyer and/or NBC Nightly News all that makes up NBC news and ABC news?

How much additional corroboration is required?

It's the shows that were mentioned in the OP, yes or no?

Can you produce any clips of them mentioning the scandal on their news programs before June 16? If not then the OP is correct.

How much additional corroboration is required?

The story specifically states:

ABC and NBC have failed to cover the story as of Monday June 16

The headline:

ABC, NBC Continue to Ignore IRS Claim That It Lost Two Years of Lois Lerner Emails

I proved these to be false. End of story.

You didn't prove the story to be false. You didn't read the article and instead focused on the title. If you had read the article (which I believe the poster who posted it expected all of us to do before responding), you would see that so far, you have not refuted the claim made in the article.

That's what Redress posts do.
