that's pretty fast....and i ain't no quick draw ( i can reload a mag like lighting ,though)

about this fast

I shot at a couple events this guy was at

he was a class A IPSC/USPSA shooter as was I (Jim Zubiena is the "hit man" here)

this is from Miami Vice

maybe the store owner should have just displayed a very visible sign saying.............." firearms prohibited in this establishment"

then the guy, would have not walked in with one unless, he wanted to be bad!;)

At least you're honest enough to admit it.
But I disagree with your last statement.
I do believe it will be the norm, maybe even at election time .

I don't think we've seen the end of political stunts ... but i'm just saying it won't be part of our day to day lives.

i'll be fine if the world goes weird and everybody starts open carrying rifles everywhere...i'm not scared of guns at all....well, I'm scared of guns that are pointed at me, but none others.

less than a second either way.
Therefore, no store-owner is safe if the open-carry rifle-toter has an agenda to kill.
Looks like we're heading back to Dodge City.

My next few trips will be into gun country, especially Idaho.
I figure to help their economy since so many anti-Bergdahl GOP's have cancelled their Idaho reservations.
He is from there and locals are supporting their guy.

Pretty sure they open-carry in bars in West Yellowstone--great entrance to Yellowstone--very peaceful along the Madison river.
Don't go west TD--you may never come back .

I'm not afraid of guns either, but I can't stress enough that this is about how much you can trust the average American's judgement. Keep in mind, a lot of them still think Obama's a good president! I personally don't trust a stranger's mental health any further than I can throw them; and considering how fat some Americans are, that's not very far.

yeah, you competition shooters are fast...no doubt about it.
hell, even the slow ones are fast...

in "real world" scenarios, it's usually about how fast you identify the situation rather than how fast you draw.... the quicker you identify imminent threats, the better off you are.
i'm a slow hand, but i have brain geared towards tactical awareness.

suppose there is a law that allows him to open-carry rifles--

I spent several summers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the wind river range as a kid

depending on my surroundings, i'm a pretty trusting guy

violent crimes are pretty rare... the vast vast majority of people go through their day NOT raping, pillaging, or murderin'... so ya gotta give society credit for that( while being prepared for the errant wacko to raise his head)

suppose he shoots you while you're calling the cops -
you have no right to carry on my property.

i can allow you the privilege.

if you carry on my property, and i object i tell you to leave, you refuse i call the cops.

It is not "perfectly reasonable" to presume someone intends to do harm just because they open carry and such is rare. It's paranoid.

Idk dude, I think if I owned an inner city convenience store and some guy walked in the front door carrying an AR 15, I don't think it would be paranoid to be a alarmed by that. Frankly, normal people don't do that. I don't know what would possess anyone to feel the need to do that.

i cannot take physical action against a person, for any reason unless i feel myself or others are threaten.

and if i take action, i dam well better have good reason and a statement to back it up.

Someone being alarmed gives them the right to shoot? I bet you're not arguing that normally.

well, who wants to own a convenience store in the inner city?.... crime magnets, those places.

If a dude walks into a store with an assault rifle with no intention to commit a crime and the store owner shoots him is that justifiable homicide?

Need more specifics. A LOT more. The poll is a false dichotomy.

I know alot. You make more money in those areas even though its more dangerous

do you search people upon entry to you property?

no i don't, 99.9% of the time, i will allow people to just go ahead and exercise their rights on my property, however if i feel uncomfortable with someone doing something i find offense, i tell them to leave, ...again they refuse ..i call the cops...they get physical, so do i.

It doesn't matter how abnormal you find people harmlessly exercising their rights is.

It depends. If you have a notice on the front door of your business that firearms are not allowed and someone chooses to ignore it, then I think its reasonable at that point for the business owner to feel their life is threatened.

If people can just wander the streets with AR-15s, then how come peeka chaka no wookiee boonowa tweepie Solo? Ho ho hoooo.
