Just the interesting matches.

No the games are boring....Not enough scoring.

I suppose if we got rid of those pesky goalkeepers, gave the players armour and helmets and allowed them to pick the ball up with their hands it would liven things up?

The game of football isn't just about high scores - it's about defence, attack, individual skill and team play. Having said all that, my preferred game is rugby but I will still watch some of the World Cup matches.

Scoring does not mean more interesting games. Look at basketball: lots of scoring, and less exciting than watching your toenails grow. In fact, basketball is about the only sport as boring as soccer.

If no why not?

No. I'm not a sports fan. What is the World Cup? (BTW, no babies in the womb have been butchered. Abortion of fetuses, who are unable to live outside the womb and are therefore an extension of their mothers, are legally able to be aborted, since they are not babies. But thank goodness there is choice, so that one is not forced to abort.)

No, I don't watch any sports.

If it weren't for the billions of dollars illegally wagered on basketball, there would be millions of Americans of trying to get into Redress's home to watch his toenails growing.

Baseball isn't exactly jam packed with action.

The only entertaining aspect of soccer is when a goal is scored. The player who does it & the announcer. I've for years said that sports like basketball & football need to implement the exuberance shown in soccer.

I like watching the World Cup. Soccer is more about strategy and planning more than brute strength or just scoring. If you look at it like that, it's one of the most interesting sports to watch. And IMHO, that's why it's the most popular sport in the world, second only to sex.

Hahaha how does being American mean you can't enjoy a footy match. Nationalism is a hell of a drug.

I see you basketball and raise you golf, truly a boring sport to watch outside of the last three holes. And yes I will watch as many games of the World Cup as I can and by god I am even an American.

I just can't watch soccer because all the drama overwhelmes me.

I find soccer boring with worse acting (on fouls)than the NBA. with all the lead in tournaments to wimbledon on the tube and the NBA finals, I would't watch soccer by choice-period. Maybe if they get rid of that stupid score killing "offsides" rule I will watch it.

soccer fanatics have spent billions trying to make this sport commercially successful in the USA. it has failed and of all the major sports a kid can play, soccer is the one most likely to lead to surgery. BTW, my father was at top 5 HS soccer player in the USA and was a two time All-American and my niece went to a top 10 D-I soccer school on a full soccer ride.

Hey that is your opinion personally to me sitting and watching a 2 to 3 hour game ending up 0 to 0 is boring as hell...I would rather watch paint dry.
