No it would not be just okay, It would be great if they did not give the scumbag his 15 minutes of fame.They can blur his image, not mention his name,tell us his hobbies or interests or speculate why he did it.
Other enquiring minds would start asking question, starting rumors, getting all worked up into a petulant frenzy.

Conspiracy loons do that anyways despite what they are shown. Not airing the dirtbag's name, face, interests or hobbies, or anything else will change that conspiracy loons do.

I'm 100% with you on this jamesrage. I believe that mass murders would be on a serious decline if lunatics knew that they would receive no attention at all.
 
I think many of these madmen commit these insane acts for publicity and the news media giving them what they want encourages them. We make folk heroes out of mass murderers and that is criminal.
