Everybody knows that Santa can not be in all places at all times, and the man you show in a Santa costume is just a helper.
So if the kids parents are not honest with him, bring him here and I will inform him.

I do know that as I child, I was told Santa Claus was Saint Nicholas and it started a Norwegian folklore....then magically spread across the globe wherever English was spoken...and all the children loved it. The End.

A false representation is nothing more than a false representation.
Or mimicry is a form of flattery.
And everybody knows that Santa can not be in all places at all times and other representations are just his helpers.

But he is a white male, and was created as such. That is objective and something that you can not get around.

That's like saying Jesus is white. Just because the first people to come up with Santa Claus as an advertising gimmick made him white doesn't mean that there aren't tons of versions of Santa around that aren't. Even Coca Cola, the people who made up the modern version of Santa Claus, have done him as a black man.

Nah. I didn't put any up this year. They use too much electricity. Not only that, I have a two story house. I really didn't feel like getting up on the ladder and hanging all that crap up this year.

I would like to apologize to all for being so stupid as to let myself become enmeshed in a debate of this insignificance. I was really bored yesterday at the mother's day thing.

Honestly, it amazes me that people care (I didn't really, I just wanted something to discuss) and makes me wonder about their emotional stability over such a non issue. So I apologize to my two debate partners, I should have been more kind.
