As are most people, then and now. Saint Nick was a Greek who's family lived in Turkey, which is an Arab country since the Turks are a sub-race of Arab. I think it's safe to assume he wasn't of a pure race. All it would have taken was one ancestor to get it on with a slave girl.
Turks are not a subset of Arabs, but a separate ethnic group, just as Persians are different then Arabs and Turks

Arab, is actually more of a description for a cultural group rather then a specific ethnic type, as Sudanese Arabs are far darker in skin colour then Iraqi Arabs

Any dumb blond that gets on TV and says that Santa is what he is, which is white, is only good for boning.
How sad. She speaks the truth about it, (he is white), and you want to demean her.
Typical liberal thought processes you have going on there.

Why folks can't accept the fact that Sinterklaas was created as a white male, simply boggles the mind.

Arabs didn't reach Turkey until around 300 years after St. Nicholas' death.

Santa Claus was Chinese of course, we have proof. And if you question us, you're racist.

study a little history
y so mad? Did your parents let you think Santa was the one bringing presents all those years and you're still beef'd about finding out they had lied to you all that time?

Ok well if you want to argue that Saint Nick is a pure-blood anglo that's your claim to prove.

Well actually it was a quick google on where Saint Nick came from, not an assumption. So I got a tiny little piece of history trivia wrong. I'll get over it.

I have not argued anything yet

But I will now

As a historical figure Santa Claus would have looked like and had the general cultural traits of people living in what is now called turkey, his specific ethnicity is most likely unknown. That means he is not generally western European in looks or culture.

As a cultural tradition in the US and Canada, he is western European in looks, and for the last 100 years, has American cultural traits.

I will not explore the some of the darker northern European versions of people like Santa here

I asked you before and you ignored me. I'll ask you again: how do you define "white". Most people would agree that a Greek born in southern Turkey is not "white"

Slow news day or something? It's not even close to being Christmas!

Santa is whatever a child imagines him to be.

According to whom?

No he is not.
He is a white man and was created as such.
A child's imagination matters not to that.

Sorry, you can't control what other people might imagine Santa to be.

According to whom?

A significant number of Americans who feel that non Europeans are not white. Ethnically I believe she is Armenian, which along with Persians are often no considered to be white (by those who do not associate being Caucasian with being white, but being of European ethnicity to be considered white

Ahh, sorry, never said I could.

What I did say is that he was created as a white man. That makes him white.
A child's imagination matters not to that.

Santa is not real, so I imagine that different children would imagine him in different ways, depending on the stories THEY have been told by their parents, so your ideas about him are not defining qualities for everyone else.

Wrong.
His being a creation mattes not. It is ridiculous to assert such. And he is a representation of a real person. Saint Nicholas.
So can the bs.
He is white.
He was created white.

Popeye was created and is white.

Barny is created and is purple.

Yes, well Santa is more like a myth or a legend, and as we know, such things can vary from person to person and culture to culture. There maybe similarities in the basic story line, but the details may vary.
