Yes thats what i understand what FACTUAL AA/EEO is and I dont fall for the misinformation or uneducated opinions od what it is. I dont go for the things people make up and falsely call AA/EEO because of thier emotional dishonesty or uneducated feelings and opinions. For two different jobs hiring and recruiting was even part of my responsibilities and currently is now.

AA/EEO has a very clrea definition that is easy to understand and by default it doesnt do what you claim and if a program does do what you are complaining about (and somethign i would disagree with also btw) it is factually NOT AA/EEO. this fact will never change.

Liar. Plain and simple. I don't believe you. I know what AA and the EEO are about, I know what they do, I know what bull**** you are peddling. If I was hiring a hiring manager and he spewed that crap... circular filing cabinet.

Diversity is a **** concept pushed by **** people to shovel **** on everything. Period.

You obviously are incapable of considering the learned and rational support of diversity in the university system.

There's no point in debating this with someone incapable or unwilling to recognize the opposing point of view.

Any program that give preferential treatment while denying such to another person based on skin color is inherently racist. Further more, the very existence of such programs are harmful to the supposed "beneficiaries" as their efforts are in the shadow of said treatment. There is no difference if "The boss only hired him cause he's white too" then there is in "She only got the job cause she's black".

It's all bull****. AA/EEO is crap. Period. Best qualified candidate, plumbing, skin color, ethnicity should have ZERO baring on the matter.

What definition of racism are you using?

Translation: you cant defend your factually false claim with anything accurate and factual. Let me know when you can.
SOrry facts bother you but they dont care and you just proved that you factually do not know what AA/EEO is, thank you for proving my point. LMAO

so is the NAACP, the black caucus among other things.

You're just lumping everything to do with race under the heading 'racism'. It's pure ignorance employed to create a false equivalence between white and black bigots, to create a false equivalence in the status quo by ignoring the impacts of real racism and to otherwise excuse real racism.

Racism is actions, practices or beliefs, or social or political systems that consider different races to be ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable traits, abilities, or qualities. It may also hold that members of different races should be treated differently.

Racism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It doesn't matter a wit whether it's for someone's definition of a "just" cause, because there are not enough ______'s based on someone's arbitrary standard. My half Asian daughters would refuse a seat in school or a job offered because it was someone's quota, and reject any organization that would offer their seat or job to a black or anyone else because of the same arbitrary standard.

It amuses me that the left defends these "just cause" initiatives based on demographics in all things but prisons. I doubt anyone would say we need to put more whites in prison because they're under-represented in the prison population.....

.....or maybe not.

That would be unjust.

What definition of racism are you each using? It is an important question that if it is not answered leaves you all talking past each other.

What definition of racism are you each using? It is an important question that if it is not answered leaves you all talking past each other.

The part of the definition that specifies a system of unjust discrimination and privilege. That's something that blacks, in this country, are not capable of because they're a minority.

If a black says he hates whites, it will never affect my ability to get a job or a fair shake in court. A single black business owner might discriminate against my job application, but there are a million other places to go, and so it has no societal impact upon me.

If a white says he hate blacks, that carries very real implications for a black person.

That's the difference. Racism is a social construct, with social implications. Bigotry by blacks does not meet the definition.

It's not an attempt at societal unjust discrimination and privilege. It's a system of improving universities.

Not all discrimination is unjust, not all discrimination is bigotry. And not all bigotry is racism. I understand, these are concepts beyond the average Joe, but these are the facts.

Not all discrimination is unjust but I think discriminating against someone for skin color is pretty much always unjust.

I also don't really see any real argument that a corporation, organization, or university is improved because it included people with different skin tones, especially people with different skin tones who likely wouldn't have been included on merit.

What definition of racism are you each using? It is an important question that if it is not answered leaves you all talking past each other.

uhm not being a smart ass but theres only the real definitions of racism none other invented ones matter but i get what you are asking.

AA/EEO makes it ILLEGAL to make any hiring, firing, promotional, training, monetary, and benefit decisions based on race. That by definition is not racist and is the exact opposite.

Where not whites in south Africa a minority?

False. Diversity in the university system and an attempt to mitigate systemic unjust discrimination are just causes.

First, you're just displaying ignorance in not understanding how diversity improves a university education. Second, you're wrong about merit. All applicants must meet basic qualifications. From that pool, the university selects as is best for the university.

If a white is turned down, there are a million institutions that will accept them. Real racism creates a situation where there are no or very limited alternatives. This was, and still is, the case for blacks in this country.

I especially like that last bit about prisons...never heard that one before.

If there is only one real definition, you should have no problem providing it.

so you are making up a definition and ignoring facts and the dictionary? got it

sorry any race is capable of racism period. that fact will not change.

if you would like to discuss how much power, weight, affect that the particular racism has in areas, time period, groups etc you are free to do so and i would agree they have different impacts. But that doesnt change that fact that if a black guy doesnt hire you because you are white that its racism. Its factually is by definition.

Where not whites in south Africa a minority?

Minority, in the case of racism, refers to power and not merely numbers. Surely you can understand that.

I have never heard that before.

Affirmative action is already illegal except for the federal government. I know for a fact that the military was practicing affirmative action in 2002. They probably still do. Companies are no longer allowed to discriminate based upon race, gender, religion, national origin and a couple of other things.

The Marine Corps is required to discriminate based upon race and gender. I would assume that is the same for all branches of the military and other government agencies.

If there is only one real definition, you should have no problem providing it.

never said there was only ONE, in fact i said definitionS as in plural. If you would like them please look it up in any corresponding dictionary you see fit. I like websters. You're welcome.

so you are making up a definition and ignoring facts and the dictionary? got it

Read the whole definition. You are the one ignoring facts.

sorry any race is capable of racism period. that fact will not change.

Ignorance, and ignoring context.

More ignorance. Can't you just deal with the fact that a minority (in power) is not capable of institutionalized and systemic unjust discrimination? It's not a very complicated thing.

1.)Affirmative action is already illegal except for the federal government.
2.)I know for a fact that the military was practicing affirmative action in 2002. They probably still do.
3.)Companies are no longer allowed to discriminate based upon race, gender, religion, national origin and a couple of other things.

The Marine Corps is required to discriminate based upon race and gender. I would assume that is the same for all branches of the military and other government agencies.

1.)100% false AA/EEO is legal and the best way not to do anything illegal and break any discrimaintion laws and violate peoples rights.
2.) no impact to the discussion
3.) correct and this is why they practice AA/EEO

I don't see how the situations are remotely different.

There are literally millions of black people who are employed in the United States. There are literally also million places for black people to go if a white business owner chose not to hire black people.

If you produce the whole Websters definition, you'll notice ~"a system of privilege". That's the part that blacks are incapable of on a societal level.
