Read it and weep "guy".

Safe college campuses have less crime. University of Puget Sound earns an overall crime rating of F+ when we compare reported on-campus, city, and regional crime against all other schools nationwide.

Dude. ONE campus of ONE small college does not denote terrifying levels of violence for half the doggone state. What part of that do you not get?

HOWEVER, didja happen to even pay one smidgen of attention to the maps showing levels of gun violence by state? But of course that doesn't mean anything to you, does it?

Yea, keep thinking that as you hoist that bucket.
You mean as I make 6 figures and retire comfortably and very financially secure at 46 years old with my cute little hot, young, talented, intelligent, quick-witted 24 year old wife by my side.

Hoist bucket? LOL that is sooo ****ing ignorant of you to think that is what a cement mason does. Fact of the matter is that we do things that wannabe supermen sleeping with their guns thinking they are bad asses simply do not have the brawn or brains enough to do.

that is because those studies-usually commissioned by anti gun scum who are trying to prove guns are bad-COUNT AS A GUN INSIDE THE HOUSE as guns BROUGHT TO THE HOME BY Robbers or invaders. In other words, if you are a gun free home and say your ex boyfriend is pissed that you have a new boyfriend and he breaks into your house while you are getting frisky with the new boyfriend and the ex shoots you both, your shooting will be counted as a home with a "gun inside the house"

Google and read the studies - they're concerning guns owned by the person living in the house.

Wow! You guys must live in scary places. I sleep with the house unlocked and I haven't heard of a house-breaking in this area since I lived here, coming up 9 years.

Dude, I don't care what you do or how much you make or how strong you are or how bad ass your 13 year old is. That's why I say things like that, because none if it is germane to the OP.
I sleep with my wife, by the way. Not my gun.

Perhaps you could check your attitude regarding people who don't keep a gun with them as they slumber. It really comes off as arrogant and offensive. It seems like you think you are some kind of bad ass because you sleep with a gun within reach and all who don't are fools.

"CITY AND REGIONAL CRIME" not just the college itself "dude".

Where did I say I am a bad ass, I wasn't the one telling how tough strong and how much martial arts experience I have. Chuck

Sure...but I keep the bullets in the car.

I figure I will just throw it at whomever enters with theft/violence on their minds.

Did I mention that I use a modified, gas-powered, air gun to actually shoot the gun at the perps?

Very effective; reeks havoc with the walks/windows when I miss though...so I only have a practise drill every time the Cowboys win the Super Bowl.

As a backup, I have a very attractive partner who has agreed to seduce whomever tries to rob us - that's actually how we met...long story.

I have a S&W model 686 revolver ON my nightstand and a Beretta 92FS in a special sling hanging behind the headboard concealed by a pillow. Under the bed I also have a crowbar and a aluminum baseball bat.

Dude, you're looking at Tacoma...which, if you knew anything at all about the region, does NOT represent the whole region.

Here's a list of America's 100 most dangerous cities from FBI data...and guess how many cities in Washington are there? ZERO.

And the crime rate for the entire state is pretty much determined by Puget Sound, since it's right here that the overwhelming majority of the people of Washington state live. If Puget Sound were as dangerous as you seem to believe, we'd be a lot worse off in the rankings. But we're not. This area is by and large one of the more peaceful areas to live in America.

Okay? You're full of it. You found ONE SITE and built your whole argument around it...and ignored solid stats from elsewhere, and especially didn't stop to wonder why it was that you were thinking Puget Sound was SO dangerous if Puget Sound comprised the great majority of the state's population...and the state has a relatively low crime rate. You didn't stop to think that maybe, just maybe it was a few neighborhoods that's skewing the stats of the whole, did you? Of course you didn't. All you could think of was clinging to what you believed...and could not muster the courage to look just a bit deeper into the hard-and-fast numbers.

Where did I say I am a bad ass,
Weren't you the one bragging about how quickly and easily you could break into my house, Mr. superman?

do you live in a bad neighborhood, or have a lot of enemies?

Sharon Tate and the La Biancas lived in great neighborhoods and had no enemies..... remember the Manson murders?

Being prepared is not limited to living in a bad neighborhood. Evil may find anyone at anyplace or any time.

Bragging? Really you call that bragging?
Your exact word were "I could get in your home in a heart beat."

Sounds like you were bragging about being some sort of master break-in artist.

I asked you how you would do that and you drew a blank.

I don't buy your line about how much your home is fortified. Every one says that once you point out that they are doing themselves a disservice by remaining un armed at all times.
1. move to a safer neighborhood.
2. I live in a safe neighborhood.
3. I have other ways to keep us safe, ie dogs, unbeatable windows and doors.
4. I know some sort of Israeli street fighting.
5. I have a ball bat.
Every thread has some if not all of that.
