Did Sarah Palin cross the proverbial line when she compared torture to being baptized?

I think she did. Of all the dumb things she's said in the past, this is at the top of that list for sure.

Thoughts?

That's exactly the kind of morbid sense of humor we develop in the military, so I don't think so.

The only one's outraged are the radical left who hate her for her right sided views. Where is your outrage at the current dictator that doesn't torture he just murders without a warrant or day in court remotely by drone?

I'm just as outraged at Obama and the left as I am at Palin and the right. I take swings at both sides. Don't take my criticism of Sarah Palin as an endorsement of Obama, because it's not. They both suck.

Did she get attention for herself? Yes? Then what she did was juuust right (for herself).

Sarah NEEDS to make a run for President in 2016. The GOP desperately needs her.

Likely....few care what she has to say one way or another. There might be a few Catholics who are offended and a few haters on the left who see it as a way to make her and the right seem stupid, but Palin is one of a kind and no longer a champion of the GOP.

Extreme christening? That could catch on.

I am pretty indifferent to Sarah Palin and anything she says.

I'm not outraged I just think it's really, really, stupid. People waste too much indignation being outraged at errant stupid comments.

These days whenever she speaks I just hear whatever "banana" sounds like after you've said it quickly five hundred times in a row.

When it comes to Sarah Palin, the needle on my Give-A-Crap meter doesn't even wiggle.

Being a military guy however, I thought what she said was funny.

Waaaiiiiting for it....

Every troll Palin thread requires a troll post equating Palin with Obama or Clinton. It's part of the whole script.

Any time now...

Yeah, pretty much. Sort of like "Oh, Sarah Palin said something weird again? And in other news, Gabrielle Iglesias made a fat joke..."

I wonder why some care what Palin says. She holds no office, has no political power, and generally is busy feathering her own nest. That political commentators make incendiary comments from time to time isn't at all unusual. Besides, this one by Palin was actually kind of funny.

She's afforded the same constitutional rights to freedom of speech that we all have and enjoy, even if it means making yourself appear to hate an enemy in battle. It's a good thing McCain and her weren't elected, she sounds worse than Dick tenfold.

$$$$$$$$$$$$ you got it!

That, like almost everything else she says, pretty much is irritatingly stupid, but it doenst cross a line that she doesnt spend her whole life on the other side of.

Nope, she was being Sarah Palin. I do think Tina Fey could do it better than Sarah though.

Well, it's hard to take her seriously. But, being so in favor of torture makes her pretty immoral. And makes it clear. So, she likely crossed the line of moral behavior.

I liked the "I am not a witch" lady myself, at least she was funny. Palin ain't funny, she just says stuff to get the crowded room agoin' and fired up.

She is good at saying what her audience wants to hear. That is a valuable political skill, after all. Her rhetoric was applauded by all present.

Torture is how we baptize terrorists?

I thought we didn't torture, but only engaged in "enhanced interrogation"?

This delusional bitch has said so many dumb things in the past that's it's difficult to single out any one as being worthy of the top of the list. She is the perfect mouthpiece for the Far Right.
