Do people leave political notes on your car?

I only have one bumper sticker and it reads "tree hugging dirt worshiper". I can't recall ever receiving any notes for it.

I do have a tee shirt with the same words, however, and one time when I was wearing it, I had some little bullying piece of chit idiot get in my face over it. Turns out the moron was an off duty cop, and even after I explained to him that he was in the business I owned, and that the message was a tongue in cheek reference to said business, his stupidity and bias prevented even an inkling of understanding. I suggested to him that there must be some other businesss selling the tree he sought that would be better able to serve his needs.

It's hard to make a delicious turkey sandwich because turkey isn't delicious.

If you want a delicious sandwich first you throw away the turkey and get some bacon, lettuce and tomato.

I like mine on toasted rye bread.

Turkey, gouda, lettuce and a good fresh salsa. Try it.

Republican stickers in California is asking for it. .

Where I grew up in California, the reverse would be more likely true. Rifle racks in pickup trucks were the rule, as were nra stickers, anti-environnmental messages and other right-wing stuff.

The guys that made 120,000 a year and never left the base were probably admin and maintenance types. Most drivers and logistics that did leave the wire almost everyday didn't make close to 120000 a CC would be have been hard pressed to make that even in the being of the Iraq invasion and I was there at the beginning. The guys you were talking to making that kind of money came in two varieties those that were the Blackwater types that was the low end of their pay spectrum or the admin and base maintenance wienies which was on the high end. Kellogg Brown and Root was who I worked for they sure as hell didn't pay most of their people 120,000, unless they were specialized and badly needed.

Nah I don't have regrets I rather enjoyed the time I spent over there. The only I didn't enjoy was all the political bull**** that came with it. I did for three years and used the money to start a business. So no regrets what so ever just setting records straight. Lots of soldiers thought we were making bank just like you. Nope just tax free money which is pretty significant but not bank.
I was thinking of Oshkosh, specifically, as they repaired the trucks we got blown up in.

I know one thing, I didn't even make your $88K for my year, and yet here you are crying about it. Maybe that's why the public doesn't care to give you a special honor.

I don't I plan to run into the ground and sell it for scarp.

Scarp? Well, to each their own, I suppose. Maybe you can excavate a large hole out of it and create your own evil villain lair.

I'm seeing some odd contradictions.

So I work as an full time optician as I go to school for my BA. I have a some political bumper stickers on my car. At least once a week I have some leaving a noteor my car being keyed up because they disagree with me. So I was wondering does this happen to anyone else on the forum and if so what do you do. Attach below are pictures of my bumper stickers and the note on my car from today.

YOu are in Washington with a California plate?

That might be part of your problem.

What you think I'd respect this guy more? Or at all?

No. I hate political bumper stickers, all of them. Its an insult to the complexity of the issues.

The car itself is a political bumper sticker.

I do not have any stickers on my car.

No plans to change that, either.

Still, that guy seems off a bit...none of your stickers proclaim any desire to stop helping the poor.

People have been listening and beleiving Obamas speeches for over 5 years now where he proclaims Republicans as the enemy and that they want to hurt por people or not help them.

There are too many Little Brains in the country.

The First Amendment works both ways. Damaging the car is not freedom of speech however.

I saw two ironic things in the OP:

1) the tag says he lives in California and the OP was surprised at the reactions he gets, and;

2) the note was written by a supposed tolerant Democrat.

Just my observation.

No, I don't have bumper stickers but do have a very small sticker on my rear window that denotes me as a combat veteran. I have had one note, and it was from what they said was a young boy, that put the note on my truck thanking me for my service, while I was parked at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Kinda choked me up a little when I read it. I looked for him, but no one was around. And, the worst thing is, I lost the note.

His location says Washington and his plate is from California.

People in Oregon and Washington hate Californians.

Ya they are more liberal leaning, so what? Are you going to suggest its only a liberal characteristic to be provoke and vandalize someone's car or leave a note about their bumper sticker?
When damage is done to private or public property because of political leanings it tends to one side more than the other who does the damage. The unsigned note is just a small indication of that.

This is the only bumper sticker you will ever need.

A government job?

As long as it is a government job that is productive and needed. The problem is if government jobs and government as a whole start growing faster than the private sector there definitely is a problem because the private sector pays for the government.

Of course he is. If it's bad, only liberals do it, in Grant's alternate universe.

this is another example, of people who cannot control their emotions.

because they FEEL someone is making a statement they disagree with ,they some how should respond, BY LEAVING A NOTE!

recognize you have no right to leave a note of my car ....i know i know....... no one can stop them....however being mature, and being able to control your emotions, and respecting others peoples property is something we are seeing less and less of, people now acting out of emotion instead of judging situations by their intelligence.

if the note is truly by a doctor, .i am surprised, .....because someone with the captivity of medical skills, the degree of education to lose control and write a ridiculous note with foul language.....is the sign of lowbrow, lower intelligence., these are the kind of things i would expect from some kid to young adult, who has not matured, has not a good developed mental capacity for thinking yet.

You'll have to do better than gross generalizations and speculation

Prove it.

I have a Darth Vader bumper sticker.

I haven't had bumper stickers on my car since I was maybe 18-20 and I've never had political bumper stickers. I gave up entirely when, maybe in the mid 90s, I had a Darwin fish on my car and some religious asshat rammed a pipe (or something similar, it left a circular hole) into the back of my van right over the Darwin fish, then left a religious tract on the windshield. It cost me $250 to repair (that was just the insurance deductible) and I never again put anything on my car and never will. It just invites the crazies.

But remember, Grant, only liberals vandalize cars over bumper stickers.
