So I work as an full time optician as I go to school for my BA. I have a some political bumper stickers on my car. At least once a week I have some leaving a noteor my car being keyed up because they disagree with me. So I was wondering does this happen to anyone else on the forum and if so what do you do. Attach below are pictures of my bumper stickers and the note on my car from today.

Nope but I have no bumper stickers, I haven't had one on my car in decades so there's no reason to leave notes at all.
 
I don't have bumperstickers, I think they cheapen any argument the driver may have, and they make people look like cranks and nutters.

I'm driving, I don't give a rat's a%% about someone's politics, nor do I want them paraded in front of me.

dont use bumper stickers,and last time i did,it was to cover giant rust holes more than to leave a message
 
Na. On my new car i dont have anything. But on my old card had some union stickers, EZLN sticker, socialist fist logo, and a democratic socialists of america sticker and never had anything happen to my car.
 
I love reading bumper stickers at red lights and stop signs. Most of them are hilarious, even the political ones. But I don't have any myself. I don't want to waste money on them when that money could go towards food or some other needed thing.

I don't put bumper stickers on my car. But I can't believe!! that someone left you that note.

Wasn't a doctor, though. You can read his writing.
 
Just the parking folks when I've been naughty with my parking.
 
I'd have to move my "honk if you love peace and quiet" bumper sticker.

You can't make a scene around intellectual inferiors. When I went to Columbus every other year, I took down my U of M alumnus stuff so some idjit didn't vandalize it.

Well you'll have to deal with the consequences that provoking bumper stickers sometimes provoke people. I know it may be an injury to your ego to not drive around with your dearest political opinions for everyone to see, but most people don't respect that like of smugness

If you look at the state on your license plate and political affiliation I think you will know why morons leave notes on your car. Its like a black man living in a neighborhood full of white racists or a white person living in a neighborhood full of black racists.
 
IMO people that put Bumper stickers on their cars are idiots anyway. And no, that doesn't excuse anyone doing damage on cars.

Its not obvious how equating Republicans to not being welfare recipients, and the implied inverse that people who aren't Republican are welfare recipients, is not grossly oversimplified? Or in my example how saying war is terrorism is not gross oversimplification? Come on now "bumper sticker analysis" is not a term designed to be a complement.

Can I ask you when you were applying these bumper stickers did you know or perhaps even intend that it might rile some people up who read them?

I have veteran plates on my car and one day last year I found a note saying "thank you for your service", but thats it. I don't have bumper stickers.
 
It would be interesting to see the results to this poll question:

"Was cpgrad08 'asking for it' to get that note? (Yes/No)"

Not trying to insinuate anything. (And if you think I am, then you're being way too sensitive.) Just curious. Oh and FWIW, my vote would have been No.

No, I never have gotten any notes or keyed. I do have some bumper stickers on my back window though. Here they are.
