In 2016, will you vote for your party no matter who is it's candidate?

I've decided that if Rand Paul gets the GOP nomination I'll vote GOP for the first time ever. I'd prefer someone running under the libertarian platform but I'd be tickled to death that a candidate that matches my beliefs 75+% actually has somewhat of a chance of winning.
I could vote Republican but it would have to be one that did not spout the really stupid stuff all the time. Maybe if Christie makes a comeback....

You complain about Republicans spouting stupid stuff, and then hope that Christie makes a comeback? :lamo

He is the least stupid as far as I can tell. I have never heard him say birth certificate or any of the other amazingly stupid stuff that comes from the right. He seems sane. Who else is there at deals mainly in facts instead of fantasy?

Christie has time, but he it will have to be the investigation committee committee head by NJ Assemblyman John Wisniewski which clears him or finds no wrong doings on Christie's part. His own internal investigation really means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
I'm not so sure I trust him. He's not the same man his father was, he's been a huge political chameleon lately.
I agree. I liked his father a lot more but his father was a straightforward, honest man with convictions, which means he never stood a chance of getting elected. I think of Rand Paul as Ron Paul lite but with more of the BS political appeal that wins elections.
I would obviously much rather have a pure libertarian candidate, but I simply can't pass up the chance to support what could possibly be the GOP's most libertarian candidate to date.

The problem is that in the past the qualities that I like in a candidate are not the qualities that the GOP primary voters like in a candidate. For example, in the last election I wrote a contribution check to the Jon Huntsman campaign when he announced only to watch him go absolutely no where in the primaries. Maybe it will be different this time around, but I am not getting my hopes up.

For the record, I would not vote for either major party unless you put a gun to my head...though I did not always feel that way.
