Would you vote for Gary Johnson? If not, is there any circumstance in which you might consider it?

I voted depends - it all hinges (to me) on whom gets the GOP nomination. If it's someone like Rand Paul, I would vote Republican. On the other hand, if someone like Jeb Bush or Chris Christie gets the nod, I'd vote for Gary Johnson in a heartbeat (provided he gets on the Libertarian ticket...).

if he had the best chance of beating the Democrat. Yes.

I have and will continue to do so as long as he runs.

It's so refreshing to see a politician who actually gives a **** about liberty and the constitution and isn't just looking out for corporate interests.

I voted for him last election and will vote for him this election unless Bernie Sanders runs. I damn sure will not vote for any dynasty candidates.

Yes or Hillary and Jeb Bush. The chances of me voting Republican or Democrat are slim to none.

It's like when Hollywood dredges up some old t.v. show and decides to make a movie out of it.

Hillary vs either of the two would be the Dark Shadows of elections.

I'm more likely to vote for a Republican, to be honest.

I think he does since he brings liberal issues to the table that Democrats are starting to lack in. Anti-war, pro marijuana legalization, pro gay, anti-corporatist. If he gets in the debates, it's all over for the Dems and Reps.

Problem is the system is rigged by corpgov's two ruling factions, Democrats and Republicans and they will do all they can to prevent people like Johnson from addressing the issues in debate.

Cool...I just wish he was the Rep candidate instead of the Libertarian one (where he will probably never win).

I don't care who the two parties field as leaders in 2016 - Johnson is better then any of them. Take away Rand Paul and he is miles better.

Nope, not a chance in hell.

Didn't you already basically make this poll?

There's only one even sem-realistic situation where I would possibly vote for Gary Johnson. That's if I can't stand the Democratic candidate and the Republican candidate is someone I feel has a solid chance to legitimately harm the country and thus I feel I can't support them, such as a Rick Santorum from last years crop. Then, and only then, would I likely vote for Gary Johnson who has no realistic shot of being anything other than a 3rd party candidate.

With the current crop of Republican candidates that have been talked about....Christie, Paul, Bush, Jindal....I'd be extremely unlikely to vote for Gary Johnson at this point in time.

Yeah, not that it would do any good.

I'm more interested in supporting a splinter Democrat group that would allow a plurality vote. Not greens either - they're morons.

Gary Johnson on the Issues

No bank bailout; no farm subsidies; no stimulus.

So crashing the economy is better?

Cut federal budget by 43% to bring it into balance.

Which would drive us right back into recession.

Vouchers OK for church childcare & church schools.

Vouchers take money from public schools and give to private. When those are church schools, that is particularly bad.

We can no longer afford to shell out billions in foreign aid.

Populist nonsense,

43% reduction in military spending; cut foreign aid too.

I can support some cuts to the military, but that is way too much.

Open the border; flood of Mexicans would become taxpayers.

I support immigration, but this is too much.

Governments don't create jobs--businesses do.

Pure populism. Government employs millions directly.

I view government in the same way as philosopher Ayn Rand.
Gave fiancee "Atlas Shrugged" to explain his politics.

He is a nutcase.

23% national sales tax while eliminating the IRS.

Bat**** insane.

Cut all support and aid to Israel.

I am not a fan of Israel, but losing any sort of influence on them is a bad plan.

While he has a few things I can get on board with, far too much is like the stuff above, stuff I would never be able to support. There is a reason Libertarians do poorly in national elections. They simply do not represent many people on the issues.

Beginning several elections ago I began voting for whom I feel is the best candidate, regardless of party and regardless of chances of winning. So, would I vote for Gary Johnson? Maybe. Depends.

I voted for him in the previous election, and will be more than happy to vote for him in the next round.

Hopefully they let him into the debates.

Oh hell yea in a New York heart beat I would vote for Mr. Veto. Go Gary GO!!!!!

With the 2016 prospects, I think that he'd do pretty good in the debates, however I'm almost happy he didn't enter into debates during the last cycle. As much as I like and support Gary Johnson, I've also listened to him talk and watched him debate in the past. He isn't the best public speaker and although he'd logically have the upper hand against either of the two corporate candidates from last election, I don't think he would've been able to out perform them in the debate. . . Nixon-Kennedy anyone.

I voted for Gary Johnson in 2012. All the two major party candidates had to offer is business as usual and I didn't buy that. Both Obama and Romney owed their heart and soul to the special interests, lobbyist, corporations, Wall Street Firms, huge money donors, pacs and super pacs etc. I thought it time for a free agent that owed those moneyed folks nothing. In simplistic terms, I voted for the anti-business as usual candidate.

For what it's worth he was one of the few sane ones in the GOP primary debates I watched back in 2012.
