when you have no answer, ..you fall back on gibberish.

Nope. I just don't appeal to ignorance as often as those of the opposing view.

No capitation, or other direct, tax shall be laid, unless in proportion to the census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

Simply posting "gibberish" Only means you Only have fallacy for your Cause, instead of a valid argument; and is usually considered a diversion or non sequitur, with is usually considered a fallacy or error in your line of reasoning.

it means your lost for words, and you don't know what to say...because you don't know constitutional law at all.

you showed you believed the founders created direct taxes on people, ...yet that's false, their is no power on by constitutional law of the founders to direct tax...it has been told to you over and over the federal government has no authority over the people in the original constitution, ...only the 16th gives them now authority concerning taxes, ....and power over pirates, counterfeiters and traitors...that is all.

the federal government is no legislative authority on private or state property.....article 1 section 8 clause 17.....and the convention notes on Sept 5 1787 concerning this clause.

Dude, there is no Appeal to Ignorance of our own laws. It really is that simple.

No capitation, or other direct, tax shall be laid, unless in proportion to the census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

Are you serious?

Making your OWN money makes the state a dependent by default? Hell, why not just rob everyone's paycheck and just trust the "state" to do the right thing?

I can't believe so many people think liberty is a sin.

Money =/= liberty.

First of all, if it's dependent upon state of residence, possibly the State income taxes are too high.

I do know that I basically scrape by from check to check, and I owe another $900 in taxes. Where I'll get that, I have no idea. Someone living paycheck to paycheck should not be paying that much in taxes. Maybe that's about spending levels, but if someone in a higher income bracket has to pay more so that those of us who struggle do not, I think that's OK.

Also, my income is not in the top 53%. So if 47% of people aren't paying taxes, obviously some people with a much higher income than me are getting off easy. Because I am paying taxes, and my income definitely puts me in the lower half.

you have nothing, but false info.

you showed you do not know the Constitution by thinking the founders gave government the power to direct tax citizens.....that is complete misunderstanding of basic constitutional law.

you fail in your arguments, ...and then resort to gibberish!

There is no Appeal to Ignorance regarding our supreme law of the land. It really is that simple.

From Article 1, Section 9
No capitation, or other direct, tax shall be laid, unless in proportion to the census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

if you stop pulling its chain, it might find another forum to parrot the gibberish upon

I know ...I have to stop, his gibberish is killing me, along with his lack of constitutional law.

The Only ones full of fallacy, are those of the opposing view.

And so your complaint is not with people's choices but with what is in their hearts as they make those choices?:peace

You've got it backwards. People in a society will (within reason) generally do what is legally allowed within that society. When a new law is passed, there will generally be some resistance to that law, but as time goes on, that law becomes accepted by the people, often regardless of what happens as a direct result of that law.

I don't Know

The 2013 tax tables are below:

Married Taxpayers Filing Jointly

Head of Household

Individual Taxpayers

Married Taxpayers Filing Separate
What's important to remember here is, that the more money you make, the higher the percentage you pay. That is why the rich are paying too much in taxes. Everyone should be paying an equal percentage.

Why do you believe that? Equality is a social concept not a capital concept under our form of Capitalism.

I guess I'm slow. My only response is: So what?:peace

Simple. One can of course be as racist or as prejudiced as they want...but they presently have no right to conduct themselves in such a way that other people are affected by that racism or prejudice. If we pass a law allowing people to conduct themselves in such a way that other people are affected by that racism or prejudice, such will eventually become an accepted part of the social fabric.

Do we really want to go there?

People are perfectly free to conduct themselves as racists, even to the point of affecting others, so long as they don't engage in conduct proscribed by law. A group of white women, for example, are free to organize a club that only accepts white women as members.:peace

If it is a private club, that's perfectly true. But you know as well as I do that such discrimination is not allowable in normal businesses open to the public.

I want liberals practicing what they preach. First get leftist Hollywood, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and everyone else, nice and equal with the rest of the liberals and then we'll talk.

Interesting. So why are you IRS worshippers constantly barking about the rich not paying enough in taxes? If it's not under the flag of equality, then what is it?
