Double Standard?

Is there a double standard with how domestic violence is viewed?

If there's any marks on a man from a female the police almost automatically arrest them. It doesn't even matter who started it sometimes. And in some states, like Florida, the spouse doesn't have to press charges because the state does.

The old notions that women aren't capable of domestic abuse or hurting a male are not really prevalent anymore in today's justice system.

ps. A female doesn't need a weapon to hurt a man, they can scratch, bite and kick. I've seen it take several large policemen to subdue an enraged woman on drugs or alcohol. It's worse than giving a small cat a bath and that's not really easy.

a woman can beat the hell out of a man mentally by arguing and talking to the point where a man has to leave his house to get away..i know personally..and yes it hurts it puts acid in your stomach..

I have a 4 year old. If she punched me in anger, that little girl is going to be in trouble. I'm not going to hit her like a man, or call the cops or anything, but punishment is coming.

Of course but what if it is a 4 year old of which you have no authority over. Are you going to call the cops because you are afraid for your life?

There's physical violence lashing out during arguments and there is a systemic system of violence to control someone.

Both genders probably do the former about the same, as for the 2nd, I think the men often feel they need to control the women and use violence to do so. Women feel that need too, but in this case, I think they do it by means other than violence.
