Are you a Truther?

Truth? Sure, I DEFEND it. ;)

The truth is that the US federal govt. is out of control and the only type of candidate whom could save us would be a Libertarian minded one like Rand....

AND there's nothing more I'd like to see than Paul get elected, just to see your bed-wetting heroes at MSNBC cry in their beer. ;)

Why do you presume I like MSNBC?

Do you think the government is hiding the truth about 9/11?

Because you sure as hell don't agree with Fox News...

No to that last one.

So, it's one or the other, huh?

Hey, you are the one whom called Rand a "whackjob." I'm merely trying to point out the man is not as crazy as you may think...

He is a wackjob. All the crazies like him. What does that have to do with MSNBC (and whatever heroes dwell there) or Fox?

OK - we know where you stand on this.

To address the rest of your post - I suggest you come back at me when you have some better material.... I'm done with you for now.

Especially the way Rand Paul has been caught calling out Dick Cheeney on old tapes.
I give him credit for being the only GOP with the guts to do that.
If he doesn't become a TRUE Libertarian on social issues, like Goldwater, he can kiss the Younger and more independent voters good-bye .
From Paul's perspective, I believe the Federal govt. is the "whackjob." From his perspective, you could say Imperial.

MSNBC isn't the only network who would be crying.
You didn't see Rand invited to the Establishment/Adelson primary in Vegas two weeks ago.
You did see RINOs/Neo-Cons like Bush/Christie/Walker/Kasich invited.

Rand is taking a big chance attacking Bill Clinton to help the guy who tried to defeated him in his Senate Primary, McConnell.
McConnell will owe him big time.

Rand also takes a big chance fighting Gov. Beshear in Kentucky and his success with ACA .

I want someone who could put an end to this partisan nonsense. That's not going to happen with any dem/gop candidates. Ron Paul was the cooler Paul anyway

Gridlock keeps us going down the center of the road. Be thankful for it.

Wait a minute. You accused me of having heroes at MSNBC. I haven't even owned a TV in many years.

Talk about stupid material.

Do you think everyone whom likes Rand Paul is crazy?

Mostly, but one thing is for sure... all the crazies like him.

That's more or less what I was responding to, Ecofarm, when I brought up MSNBC and Fox (and I apologize for THAT)- I don't like being called crazy, nor do most Patriots....

Going forward - let's both try to address the topic, not each other?

But I am addressing the topic.

OK - then why don't you tell why I'm crazy for wanted less govt. and more freedom.... Seems like that's what our founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution? Or, were they crazy too?

Since you made a gesture to be nice, I will do the same.

Good day.

"Less government and more freedom" is a pretty nebulous concept. Sure, it sounds nice; who's going to argue against that? However, what looks good on a bumper sticker gets a little messy in practice when people start contracting parts of the government they find ideologically unsettling and people start losing out.

Rand Paul, to me, wants to eliminate parts of the government solely due to his quasilibertarian ideology, regardless of how effective those government programs might me or what would end up replacing them.

"Less government and more freedom" is little more than a campaign slogan. And the whole "FOUNDERS WHARRRGARBL" thing is kinda meaningless too, unless you think we should live every aspect of our lives as they were imagined nearly 250 years ago.

Not a chance. Just another Republican pundit.

He's in about a 500,000-way tie for the bottom of the list of Republicans I'd vote for. :)

That's not a bad position. All the liberals come in around the 500,001-100,000 way mark right? :p

It would depend on whether or not he is going to run on a true libertarian platform or not. If he decides to run as a Tea Partier, then I think I'll stick with voting for the LP candidate.

I'd like to for the reason that he is by far the politician with the highest level of concern for civil liberties in America, but, then I look at everything else he says and believes in and that's when he goes from a yes to a no.

against ANY Dem in the general election

of course

In the primary-depends. my first choice is my friend Rob Portman

I will generally vote for whom I believe has the best chance of keeping the Dems out of the WH unless its obvious who will win-then I will vote Libertarian
Portman wouldn't be a bad choice. Seems like a fairly bright guy. Not sure if he has the notoriety necessary to make it out of the primary process though.

A lot of people want to see him on the GOP ticket in 2016. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat - just wondering how everyone else leans in regards to Paul...

Poll soon to follow.

I voted yes, but instead of "would," I mean "could." Theoretically.
