Would you vote for Jeb Bush?

Would vote for Jeb Bush

Depends who's running against him. If it were Hillary on the other side I'd have no choice.

If America allows two familys to rule it I'd vote third party and move to the Philippines.

Some Republicans are conceding on immigration issues to curry favor with Hispanics. They are actively trying to convince their party to adopt this position. They will probably be forced to if they want to have any chance to win. This is a classic example how illegal immigration, or more precisely, Mexicans illegally crossing our borders enmasse with no intention of ever leaving, have forced a platform change of a major American political party. An illegal invasion of Mexicans has usurped the GOP.

OOOOOORRRRRRRR... the lunatic radical right CON game of denying any sort of practical approach to immigration is slowly being abandoned and those clinging to a white dominated nation are finding it difficult to keep the white herd in lock step.

This could be the angry white man party finally facing the cold hard truth- the New World isn't Northern Europe... :peace

The atmosphere of the nation doesn't look good for liberals, period.

The atmosphere doesn't look good for CON or Lib... people are tired of the extremists demanding my way or the highway.

The ACA is here to stay, time for the CONs to quite the hysterics and work to make it more effective.

Jeb may never get the nomination but if he can move the GOP from it's CON radicalism into the mainstream, which is just right of center, he is aces in my book.

This is true.....and I wouldn't let them spin it any other way. It will be much harder for them to divide up the country like they did in 2012. Which is their only chance at winning. Even the Democrats themselves are now worried about losing even more seats in the House. Plus they already admitted they have no money For their Senate races. Which they themselves think they are going to lose it.

For myself......I wouldn't vote for Jeb Bush, unless he is all that there is in making sure these Democrats are done for the time being. The country can't afford to allow the Democrats to win again.....Period!

Interesting question, and looking at the responses, name is more important than qualifications?

George Bush's other kid versus Bill Clinton's wife would really be sickening and would make a strong case against democracy. THOSE TWO are the brightest and best the United States has?! 330,000,000 and those two are they very best among us?!!!

the vampires in the press are the reasons why the best and the brightest don't run or win

The guy that should have beat Obama for the senate seat in Illinois was going to win until some corrupt Dem Judge allowed pro obama operatives in the press access to sealed divorce records where there was an unproven claim that the candidate had visited a strip club

Reading both of these posts made me think of this quote:

"To summarize: it is a well known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job. To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem." -Douglas Adams The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

According to this site 2016 Democratic Presidential Candidates of the names listed as either declared or potential, I'd be interested in hearing from Bayh or Quomo.

Cuomo won't be able to make the dash. No Popular appeal other than around NY. Evan Bayh.....was one of the Top choices for VP with Hill-Dog last time out. He won't make the dash himself. But he would take the Rider.

Looks Like O'Malley will wait.

It is looking like Hillary and Biden.

Agreed... I'm hoping for Rand Paul or someone else to take the lead.

Hmm not big on Rand, but a paleo-con is better than a neo-con that's for sure.

I will most likely be voting Libertarian in 2016, assuming someone good gets the nomination. If we get a LINO like in 2008, I will probably stay home. But if Gary Johnson gets the nomination, he has my vote again just as he did in 2012. He's earned my vote tenfold...I can't say that of many politicians.

Why put up with another Clinton?
Why put up with another Bush?
why not vote for the best available candidate no matter their surname?
what is truly alarming is that recommendation even needed to be posted ... and on a forum dedicated to political thought!

Well, in the last 2 elections skin color was more important than qualifications or policy.

how so, jerry
in every other election previous to 2008 we always had a white male president
why in 2008 did skin color suddenly become the presidential criterion?
or was that only to white guys who no longer had a president who looked like them?

how so, jerry
People wanted a black president, is how.
The left was all excited because Hillary got up on stage and announced that this was going to be a history-making election of either the first woman or first black president. Race was all over it. If you disagreed with Obama on anything you were labeled a racist, and still are. Obama carried 97% of the black vote, who also out-voted whites for the first time since 1968. Aries Spears put it to words in his appearance on All Star Comedy Jam in 2009 but I can't find a clip of his entire appearance. YouTube seems to have cut out the beginning where Aries reflects the black popular opinion that race is more important than policy because of the message a black man being elected president sends to black children.

Who would vote for Bush's brother? And he's called Jeb, to boot?

****'s sake. What a ****ing yahoo.

People wanted a black president, is how.
how do you know that the voters did not instead elect the person who they thought could best lead our nation

the demo nominee was going to be a woman or a black. that does not mean the nominee, if elected, was elected because of their gender or race, but only because they were viewed as the best available candidate
Race was all over it.
for much of the opposition, that is true
If you disagreed with Obama on anything you were labeled a racist, and still are.
one is labeled a racist when they exhibit racist actions. and there were a lot who did. especially from the opposition
Obama carried 97% of the black vote, who also out-voted whites for the first time since 1968.
when have the black voters not voted overwhelmingly for a demo presidential candidate. first it was FDR, then JFK, then clinton and now Obama ... because these presidents identified with the black culture's plight
why the hell would a sane black person vote for a GOP which works in opposition to the interests of members of the black population

you think the message received by black kids, that their color will no longer keep them out of the white house, is a bad thing?
