Should Obama be impeached?

Should Obama be impeached?

As for impeachment, no. It makes zero sense at this point even if you could make a valid case for high crimes and misdemenors (which I seriously doubt). Besides, if it succeeds we'd be left with President Biden, and nobody wants that.

Ever been poor in a red state? Sorry, you can pretend, but it just ain't so. I believe Southern Democrat has presented numerous posts recently with the stats and graphs that prove the facts. Please see if you can find them.

Perssonally I have never been poor and in this country with few exceptions there is no excuse for being poor.

Did you do this?

I should have put and option of undecided because look who becomes president if he were impeached.......I have not voted yet but will probably vote no.

Ha, man. Horribly naive, but incredibly useful for party members to believe. I like it.

Nixon resigned when he knew he was not in good shape among his own party. Resigning was probably the best way to go for himself (and yes, arguably the nation). It accrued to him a lot more benefit than being impeached or put on trial.

Richard Nixon, Newt Gingrich and Bill Clinton are a few examples. But maybe I'm too limited in my thought.

GOP Rep. Issa Thinks Republicans Always Resign After Ethics Scandals | ThinkProgress

Ummm-no. Nixon resigned only after the GOP leadership in both Houses told him they would vote to Impeach and then sustain it in the senate. He resigned to avoid being the first successful Impeachment. He did it for very self centered, selfish reasons...

I wonder if Watergate is as bad as the terrorist attack on embassy was.

I was at the Republican Party convention for the the 3rd District in North Carolina. Nobody at the party level cares what Preibus or Boehner have to say.

They're number one goal was to communicate how bad Obama is. There were no secondary goals. I would bet that my local Republican wassn't alone in their lack of ambition. As a whole, Republicans didn't listen to Preibus at all.

The 2012 Republican Party Platform is this: Prove that Obama is bad. The End. That isn't anything close to what Preibus envisioned for the Party.

RNC hosts 200 staffers for 'unprecedented' field training ahead of 2014.....

The Republican National Committee had 200 staffers in this week for field training with the goal of catching up with — and eventually surpassing — its Democratic counterparts' ground game efforts in 2014.

The organization has made it a priority to hire more state-level field staff than in previous years and ramp up its digital capabilities, following a 2012 election in which Democrats had a big advantage both on the ground and online.

The group says it now has state directors, field staff, data directors, minority engagement directors and field staff in every 2014 targeted state, and will spend the early part of 2014 focusing on recruiting volunteers and precinct captains, and mining data to find their targeted voters.

"At the RNC we've recruited some of the best talent from around the country to head up out voter engagement with all communities across all 50 states. This week was a first step in training and equipping our new team with the best practices and tools for us to win elections next year," says Shields in an email.....snip~

Are ya sure? I think I have another piece around here somewhere with what Priebus had to say as the Official RNC Head. I am pretty sure he has mentioned he has talked to all those responsible in the 50.

If I were to answer as a partisan, I would hope for the GOP to proceed with Impeachment hearings.
Even Impeachment talk is enough to move enough Independents, so please proceed GOPs.
It would be great to hear Nugent, Gohmert, Bachmann, Stockman, Cruz and the rest nightly .

Bless your heart. I can make a chart and graph the proves the Democrats are attempting to enslave all poor people by making them dependent on the government to survive. Now would that make it true? Given the logic in your thought process, I think so.

I don't agree with all the things the GOP has done on a state level. In fact, many of their actions, infuriate me (anti-gay legislation and anti-abortion legislation just to mention two). However, the fact is, the GOP has done more to help the poor break the cycle of poverty on the local and state level than the Democrats ever have accomplished on the federal level. And that's just one of many reasons that the GOP dominates on the local and sate level in elections.

I think if a truly unbiased person were to look hard enough, they could probably find at least one instance for which each of the last several Presidents could have been impeached.

The GOP can't seem to care about the people in their own communities that need food, healthcare, and want to be treated as equals. What makes you think they give a **** about global affairs except as they relate to an opportunity to bash Obama?

How about housing, cars, booze, dope? should we buy that for them to because is exactly what is happening with unemployment compensation..

Then evidently you haven't been listening to Cruz much lately. Although.....I don't find that to surprising. Ted Cruz Accepts Statesman of the Year Award, Acknowledges Call for Obama Impeachment. And the crowd egged Cruz on after he described how President Obama, the "most lawless" chief executive in American history, had cut deals and ignored the mandates of the Affordable Care Act. "What does it take to impeach him?" yelled a Republican in the crowd. The people around him erupted with applause. Cruz smiled as the din faded. "It takes 218 votes in the House of Representatives" he said.....the one thing I have always noticed about Liberals and Progressives. Most aren't up on anything that's ever Breaking in the News. Only a very few are. Now those ones tend to know what they are talking about. But again.....they are far and a very few.

So either you are so intensely partisan you see what isn't there, or you just plain make crap up.

Sen Cruz didn't call for Obama's Impeachment, he simply said what it takes to Impeach A President. He spouts the TP CON dribble to the Sarasota GOP chapter (big world stage there) but in the end he is just sitting on his hands.

One thing I have noticed about some TP CONs, they make up crap to suit their bias. Once there were CONs who didn't make crap up and knew what they were talking about, now they are very few and far between.

Which embassies are you referring to?
How about the one in Beirut?
Any others you can think of?
Selective outrage with historical revision is not your friend ?
I wonder if Watergate is as bad as the terrorist attack on embassy was.

4 men die in a terrorist attack

How many people died in the Civil War, World War 1, World War 2, Vietnam, Desert Storm or Operation Iraqi Freedom? I'm sure those 4 deaths were a big deal to the 4 familes involved but for a nation 4 deaths don't get too much attention.

So you would prefer Palin over Biden ?
I should have put and option of undecided because look who becomes president if he were impeached.......I have not voted yet but will probably vote no.

You seem to confuse equality of outcome with equality of opportunity. One's standard of living is not likely to be "equal" between the employed and the unemployed, the educated and the uneducated or a two parent household and a single parent household. Caring about people and making (keeping?) them gov't dependent is not the same thing

Ah -- so it's do as you say, and not as you so obviously do.

It takes such a special form of complete partisan hackery to even suggest it that words defy me.

I put mine aside and voted no my left wing friend.

I wonder if Watergate is as bad as the terrorist attack on embassy was.

Apparently Watergate was worse as a very partisan GOP house could easily carry an Impeachment vote against President Obama- but they don't.

With Watergate Nixon's own party told him he would be Impeached if he stayed in office.

See how easy it is to figure out? :peace

Why should he be? For the same reason every president in the past 50 years should have been, extreme violations against the constitution, wars based on false pretenses, extra-judicial killings.

But you are forgetting the real reason, Jet.

Poopooheads on the other side do not like him.

Perssonally I have never been poor and in this country with few exceptions there is no excuse for being poor.

Poor is a loosely defined word. Americans who are "poor" try to tell their kids they are poor. Their kids laugh at them and say, "What are you talking about mommy? We have a house. We have a bed. We have food. Why are you saying we are poor? Are you trying to play a trick on me?"

How do you define poor?

Nixon should have faced full impeachment and trial.
Ford took a lot of heat for his pardon, but I think it was the right move. Nixon should have faced the whole trial but I do believe he was sincere in wanting to avoid the messy fight in the Congress, Ford I believe was sincere in wanting that very same thing. That said Nixon deserved a full impeachment, but I think the best course for our country was what happened even though it was the least satisfying, either way the guy was gone.

Poor is when you have none of those things.
