Should Obama be impeached?

Should Obama be impeached?

Nixon should have faced full impeachment and trial.

He was a Republican. He resigned to protect the reputation of the country above himself. This is usually what Republicans do when they are guilty. Democrats are a different breed.

That changes after the Democrats lose the Senate......so don't worry it shouldn't be long now. ;)

Possibly...of course the current house is almost as bad, with all the infighting and thumbing noses at Boehner.

They would rather show the world that they would stick together over disfunction.....just to keep a hyped selfie in that All seeing eye and others perspective and including those Foreign Leaders.

hyped selfie? What the heck?

Nothing wrong with showing the world that we are functional but I didn't get the part about the hyped selfie.

You are Right.....but Preibus is already on it. ;)

Were that actually the case....there would be few left in either party. He resigned because he got caught....plain and simple.

No I don't think they should Impeach him.....but I do think the Repubs should start the process.....just to scare the **** out of the Democrats and their loyal following. Let the media eat on that for days and let that sit on Obamas brain. Wondering will they, could they, be great to see him even more stressed out. The more he is rattled the more mistakes he makes. Might shut him up for a minute too.

So you'd use Impeachment for pure partisan political gamesmanship? I don't even think Cruz is that stupid, and he thought shutting down the Gubmint was in the words of another dingbat, Charlie Sheen, "WINNING" :doh

My thought is the Media would have a field day raking the GOP House members over the coals for such buffoonery.

Oh yes, let's distract the President as the Crimean situation unfolds...

Those tea party people are Democrats in disguise. It's a perfect opportunity for Democrats to pass a health care bill while the Republicans are fighting amongst themselves.

Thru the use of our Media.....that we embellish more and even over titles and hats that people are not even part of anymore.

A really dumb question.

After all his bungling and violating the constitution should Obama be impeached? please put your partisan views aside right or left and try and answer the question honestly.

Are you the one yes vote? Imagine that 13 to 1... :doh

Need a bridge? Cheap!

You are Right.....but Preibus is already on it. ;)

I was at the Republican Party convention for the the 3rd District in North Carolina. Nobody at the party level cares what Preibus or Boehner have to say.

They're number one goal was to communicate how bad Obama is. There were no secondary goals. I would bet that my local Republican wassn't alone in their lack of ambition. As a whole, Republicans didn't listen to Preibus at all.

The 2012 Republican Party Platform is this: Prove that Obama is bad. The End. That isn't anything close to what Preibus envisioned for the Party.

I am not refuting that. He resigned when he got caught. Democrats rarely resign when they get caught.

Ha, man. Horribly naive, but incredibly useful for party members to believe. I like it.

Nixon resigned when he knew he was not in good shape among his own party. Resigning was probably the best way to go for himself (and yes, arguably the nation). It accrued to him a lot more benefit than being impeached or put on trial.

As I'm sure has been pointed out to you by literally every response to this thread, "President Biden."

The last thing global security needs right now is the US dicking about with impeachments.
The GOP can't seem to care about the people in their own communities that need food, healthcare, and want to be treated as equals. What makes you think they give a **** about global affairs except as they relate to an opportunity to bash Obama?

Then evidently you haven't been listening to Cruz much lately. Although.....I don't find that to surprising.

Ted Cruz Accepts Statesman of the Year Award, Acknowledges Call for Obama Impeachment

And the crowd egged Cruz on after he described how President Obama, the "most lawless" chief executive in American history, had cut deals and ignored the mandates of the Affordable Care Act.

"What does it take to impeach him?" yelled a Republican in the crowd. The people around him erupted with applause. Cruz smiled as the din faded.

"It takes 218 votes in the House of Representatives," he said.....snip~

Although.....the one thing I have always noticed about Liberals and Progressives. Most aren't up on anything that's ever Breaking in the News. Only a very few are. Now those ones tend to know what they are talking about. But again.....they are far and a very few.

only if made up scandals count...they don't.

4 men die in a terrorist attack that could have been avoided if someone was at the helm. Not bad enough but Clinton and Obama lie about it and say it was caused by a video.......If that is not grounds for impeachment I don' know what is my left wing friend.

That's just not true. In fact the GOP is very involved and on point at the local level. That's why they rule the People's House and more than a few state legisltures. The federal is getting closer to ruling the entire nation with an iron fist, but they're not there yet.

I really have mixed emotions over this......I think Obama deserved to be impeached for all his violations of the Constitution but then you look at what with take his place and that scares the hell out of you.

Ever been poor in a red state? Sorry, you can pretend, but it just ain't so. I believe Southern Democrat has presented numerous posts recently with the stats and graphs that prove the facts. Please see if you can find them.

I here you that is exactly why I did not post to my own poll to this point. I should have made and option undecided.

Ummm-no. Nixon resigned only after the GOP leadership in both Houses told him they would vote to Impeach and then sustain it in the senate. He resigned to avoid being the first successful Impeachment. He did it for very self centered, selfish reasons...
