Do you believe in good and evil or do you just think people that do horrible things have a screw loose? I myself believe in evil and forces of darkness that take control of a soul and use it to do their bidding.

EDIT: I should have made this multiple choice, my mistake.

I don't believe in good and evil as in: inherently good or inherently evil RE the concept of the whole *large picture - born with sin and stealing souls* etc.

I believe people favor being moral and sound and then don't favor being moral and sound. The reasons can vary widely.

Evil, to me, is just a word commonly used to categorize deeds of a horrendous nature that is beyond the comprehension of any normal society. And even "evil," is subjective from culture to culture and society to society. It is a matter of personal interpretation as well. What I consider to be evil the next person may not.

I also believe the word evil is over used. I am guilty of that myself.

As an overriding outside influence there is no such thing as good and evil.

Of course there is such a thing as good and evil (obviously evil per se doesn't exist, since evil is a privation, although there are demons). And murdering civilians is wrong, especially when there government is already willing to conditionally surrender.

It is tough for me to vote in this poll, there really is not an option that fits since I think the OP is driving at "evil" as being some sort of external force or influence, I do not buy into this - as I see others in this thread do not as well. As a concept in opposition to that which is "good" then I can accept that things can be evil - but at the same time I do not accept an imposed duality of good versus evil, but rather a gradation - shades of grey that can be highly nuanced and situational.

If the OP is also trying to tie evil in with the concept of "sin" I do not buy into that either, when defined (as it typically is) as "an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law." then I am compelled to think that there is no such thing as sin.
