Drawing some parallels, or trying to.

What say you.

Vote, than proceed to give us your career and political leanings.

You can mention if you're continuing education as well.

(yes, I forgot the apostrophe, take me to judge judy)

Liberal like you wouldn't believe, so liberal I can't identify with the new liberals.
Education? High school, apprenticeship, enough hours in libraries to earn a librarian's pension. Pretty good libraries too, some of them.

I have a master's degree in real life, not just as an online personna, earned 40 years ago last spring.
I'm retired from 38 years in education.

Politically, I'm somewhere just right of center, near the libertarian extreme, but not quite there, in the middle between isolationist and neoconservative advocate of a Pax Americana, and pretty sick of the (bleep!) that comes out of the mouths of both parties.

Oh, and a bit of a cynic.

What is this word "retired" you speak of? Have heard others speak of it.

I dreamt of such things but I thought it was just urban myth.

masters; independent.

here's my political compass from a couple years ago :

anonymous polls suck

BA in History 8 years ago, applying for master's degree in business now. Been employed since graduation. Lean right on financial issues, libertarian on social issues, and sometimes left sometimes right on international issues.

Retired now, 20 plus years active duty army and then another 26 years as an department of the army civilian. I would classify myself as a Goldwater Conservative which is entirely different from the conservatives of today. I would say Barry was my political mentor. I abhor both parties today, or should I say what they have become and the way both behave. I still claim the Reform Party as my political party and I vote for whom I believe is the best qualified candidate for any particular office regardless of party which usually includes voting for some third party candidates.

Cynic, ain't we all. Ditto on what comes out of the mouths of both parties. The way I see it, today our elected officials are too busy being Republicans and Democrats, that they forgot what it means to be an American. Too much loyalty to party, not enough to America.

BA in Political Science (International Affairs focus) with a double minor in Communications and Russian Studies (language, history, culture, etca). I also have Associates' degree in Intelligence Studies from my time training with the military.

Needless to say, I'm Right Wing as Hell.

I'm also currently struggling a bit due to being between a rock and a hard place with regards to my career goals. I don't have the experience I need to really get my "foot in the door" in the field I actually want to work in, and, in today's economy, at least, my education is pretty much worthless when it comes to getting any kind of civilian work other than base wage slavery.

I am a Senior Systems Administrator, socially liberal, moderate on everything else.

I would've voted for something other than "Jack's right nipple," but I'm also his complete lack of surprise.

Education:

High School/ Military Training

Employment:

Full time- Training Manager for an industrial contractor

Evening/ Hobby- Photography Instructor

Political Leaning:

I'm a slightly left of center libertarian, with the emphasis on libertarian. On the political compass I'm as far to the libertarian end as you could possibly get.

Totally disenchanted with either of the commercially sponsored political parties.

. . . also, I voted for Gary Johnson in the last election, but that's to be expected.

I'm the character who was thrown out of Chemistry for being a FREE RADICAL.

Trying to finish my MA this semester or during the summer. Career: still being forged, because I am eclectic.

Yeah, those were funny. Whenever we did group shots, I was one of the few on the Right-wing authoritarian section. The rest of ya's were libertarian scum ;)

Retirement and grandchildren are the compensations for old age.

Yeah guys sorry about the anonymous thing. I have no idea how to change that.

Mods?

I'm progressive, about half-way through my degree, and presently on pause. I'll finish it when I get around to it, basically. I seem to be getting on pretty well without it.

I am presently an editor, half of the actual editing type, and half of the managerial type.

Currently in college in the last semester of betting my B.S. in Political Science.

Currently, I work at Trader Joe's, but I also do a lot of other work on the side, mainly writing and researching. It's led to a lot of good things, for example next month I am going to be in a special edition of an LGBT academic journal.

Politically I am an anarchist.

Bachelors in business administration, associates in computer information systems.
Currently applying to go back to school for biochemistry and pharmacology.

Very socially liberal and fiscally moderate.
