I'm employed full-time, making around $60k/year. I came very, very close to being laid off in 2009, and my wife was laid off.

I make about 44k a year. Because of my lifestyle I think if I made over 50k a year I would LOSE MY MIND. I'm a democrat not sure this poll would correlate to any data out there and there are a lot of studies that say one way or the other. The most recent studies say that Republicans have fewer and fewer people that make 50k plus a year while Democrats overall will make more. Still, the independents are the top earners nowadays going by most data I've looked at.

Part-time, I'm in college after all.

$9.50 an hour at a call center on campus, the hours are good though I hate the job itself. Oh well, that's life.

The poll is a joke since it ignores the one out of eight Americans that are retired.

And this poll left out the capitalists that would be embarrassed to be "employed."
