Nicorette has exactly the same active ingredient -- nicotine. The only difference is the drafting of a stop-smoking program to go with it, FDA approval for that specific purpose and of course plenty of marketing. In other words, there is no difference, pharmacological or functional.

Except one is designed to get you to stop smoking, the other is designed to keep you smoking. That's the difference.

To begin with, there is no smoke with ecigs / vaporizers. There is no combustion. Each puff consists of a tiny amount of liquid which is heated until it vaporizes. There are no particulates in this vapor, and studies with laboratory animals exposed to vapor showed no cell death or abnormal cell growth. Please, from here on out, separate in your mind the consumption of cigarettes and the use of ecigs or vaporizers, you are comparing apples to monster trucks.

Second off, neither nicotine gum nor ecigs / vaporizers are designed to do anything other than deliver nicotine. Gum has been approved because the manufacturers did studies to prove that it could be used to aid cessation, then received FDA approval to advertise this use. Vaporizers have not been approved because the many and sundry manufacturers haven't bothered -- instead of saying "use this to quit smoking," they tell you why their product is so much more awesome than smoking.

Same result, different approvals and advertising.

So, again, there is no difference, pharmacological or functional.

I don't know about "designed" but one (the gum) didn't work for me and the other one (E-Cig) did.

I am actually surprised at how many of you smoke, t o be honest.
Me too.

Y'all need to kick the habit! Then you'll be like me and think "that was the most stupid waste of time (30 years), health and money ever"

I think they work great. Certainly a better alternative.

Started off with those blu ones.
Graduated to using a full vape, rocking one of these bad larrys now.

I must say...no more coughing. I feel 10X better (might be in my head).

Advertise away.

That's the first thing I tried, because I wanted something simple and modular and not requiring customization or replacement parts or tinkering. I wanted something that just worked off-the-shelf with no forethought so that it would require minimum adjustment.

Unfortunately, the draw was so stiff that I could never get enough in one drag. The part of my brain that was fiending for nicotine started putting out "I'm suffocating" vibes -- so instead of satisfying the craving so I could go back to work, I got panicy. Didn't even make it through the day before I had to break out the emergency pack.

It wasn't until I went with an actual rig with a much easier pull that I found my new home.

The guy who hooked me up with my training-wheels rig is rocking one of those now, he calls it his lightsaber. That thing lets you control voltage and wattage, right?

Yep. It's ****ing awesome. Amazon has them right now for 120 shipped.

yes, anything legal should, i think the ban on cigarette commercials is crap anyways.
Would you allow porn flicks to be shown on tv as well? As long as they're legal?

He's a gadget man, so it made sense for him. Me, I like my tools simpler and more straightforward. The more bells and whistles the harder it is for me to find my sweet spot. :)

I love it. Conversation piece, looks awesome on my dash (I have a dash holder)

They look like little light sabers to me. I would have one if they weren't so heavy.

I see zero reason why it can't be allowed. Parents should be able to regulate what their kids watch and don't watch.
