What is best for you:

1. Law recognizing all illegal migrants legal; (Illegals stay in the U.S., becoming Legal and participate in the elections of authorities.)

2.The prohibiting illegal migration; (The law prohibits the employment of illegal immigrants, educate their children in school and provide them free medical care.)

3. Association all North American countries in North American Economic Union( as a United Europe) in which countries remain independent, but labor can freely shuttle between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada.

4.Other laws;
 
I think there should be a law requiring people to spell immigration correct before talking about it. :p

Combination of 1 and 2 and 4. Amnesty for all illegal immigrants who currently have jobs and do not have a criminal record. Amnesty for all illegal immigrants under the age of 18 who do not have a criminal record. Deportation of all illegal immigrants with a criminal record, or do not currently hold a job.
Also start enforcing the laws prohibiting any future illegal immigrants from gaining access into the country and if they do gain access deportation. No amnesty for future illegal immigrants.
Any illegal immigrant granted amnesty must pay a fine of $5000 which can be made in payments for up to 5 years interest free. In the case of minors. they will have until age 25 to pay off their fine.
 
Currently #1. But then i also realize that our neoliberal trade policies have lead to a giant influx of "illegal immigrants" into this country, so if we actually wanna get serious about immigration then we need to take a look at our neoliberal trade policies.

No school, no services, no anything for illegals (medical emergency services yes, once stable - immediate deportation). Any property or money they've accumulated while here will be seized and used to offset the cost of apprehension and deportation. Their DNA taken, flagged as a no visa for 5-10 years.

The majority would self-deport.

Laws against illegal immigration are enforced and the following-

1.Crack down on the scum who hire illegals.Treat them no different than we do drug dealers and other criminals who profit from and or use their money for illegal activities.

2. In order to get any ID or driver's license you present a birth certificate( in rare cases a non-availability birth certificate where it has been investigated that the individual was born in the US but was not born in a hospital ), green card, or certificate of naturalization and social security card.After that require a state issued ID or driver's license in order to the following-

-enroll yourself into school
-enroll your minor kids into school
-apply for welfare,food stamps,section 8 housing and any other tax payer assistance for yourself and or your children
-get a business license,fishing/hunting permit,building permit, license to practice law, food handlers permit, gun license(in states that require a permit to buy a gun),concealed carry permit(in states that require a license to conceal carry) or any other tax payer funded service
-open a bank account, cash a check, use a credit/debit/pre-paid card, apply for a loan,or wire money.
-rent,borrow,lease or buy property
-rent,borrow,lease or buy a motor vehicle.
-get legal documents for yourself or your children.
-get utilities

3.Mandate E-verify for every employer.

4.Repeal part of the immigration and nationality act of 1965 that allows for the chain migration of relatives other than spouse or minor children.This would virtually eliminate anchor babies.

5.Seeing how many of these people here illegally came her on a visa and let it expire we should also cut off visas to citizens of countries we have the most illegal immigration problems with until those numbers go down.

In Europe its works. People from less developed economically countries go to work in the more developed. Pay taxes, collect money, and return home.
Illegal migration from Africa and Asia, of course there is, but not on the scale as in U.S.

They have a huge problem with illegals in the more successful EU countries. They are not allowed social services or a job or anything but deportation upon discovery.

We already have our own union of states. We formed it quite some time ago.

There comes time of giants. China, India. United Europe, giant. If North Americas country unite in trade union without borders, we will be a giant too..
 
I personally had no problem with the immigration bill the Senate passed, I didn't particularly like the portion of it turning the border into the DMZ, but it was a compromise, so I was willing to go along with it. Unfortunately, far to few people see it that way anymore.
 
why not just surrender the nation to Mexico...? what the hell, why stop there? Our laws mean nothing to the current office holders.. that includes all branches of the government. Lets just stop enforcing everything...

this bill is BS, designed to keep the current congress in office. November will be most interesting.

Can you even tell me what was in the bill? Also, more illegals are being/have been deported under Obama than any previous admin., so I do not know what you are referring to with the "laws meaning nothing" comment.

The current most publicised immigration issue here is the fear of EU migrants moving from less affluent to affluent EU countries. EU regulations mean they can't be deported or excluded from anything.
UK Government is trying everything to discourage Romanians/Bulgarians as the border has just been opened to them. It's proving very tricky as it really contravenes EU rules.
They are trying to block welfare and social services, but even with political will they are only able to propose it for a period of 3 months. They are also trying to make the National Health Service police treatment by checking passports to ensure people are entitled to treatment and they want landlords and employers to be unpaid immigration officers...
@ the OP, Other. Relax controls on Euro migrants and tighten them on whichever type of migrant you find is not economically beneficial to your country.
Or you could finally accept everyone on your land mass is entitled to get in there...

No thanks, we're giant enough as it is. We already have a North American union of sorts with Canada. That's a far as we need to go.

No way Never. Free Trade between the US and Canada was a huge mistake- no way should that association be expanded.

Immigration reform in the form as it pushes the Obama administration, irreversibly changes demographic in the country. Association in trade union leaves Mexicans, as Mexican voters.
