Much easier than a country that cares about it's own people, obviously.

Still doesn't answer the question how can a Country that doesn't exist start a war and draft people?

I'm also curious how he can claim in one breath not to care about the country because it abandoned him in 1913, and yet implicitly claim in the other to be one of those who care about the country most?

If USA would one day start a world war (impossible I know, considering how peaceful it has been) and then one day the world would rise up against it, whooped all US military bases, and brought the fighting home, to US cities, how would you feel about being drafter BY THE GOVERNMENT? By militias?

Living in the woods in America, I am not sure I have the freedom to say what I would do, especially after my dogs were shot a month ago, and I am not sure if I would refuse a local militia to fight against invaders either, because I would like to know who is taking over, and there would probably be no internet to research.

Conditionally. If the war was prosecuted unjustly by the elite, they would have to answer for it, after or preferably before hostilities end. If not, then I would probably abstain. It's their country, let them defend it.

If for whatever reason the United States started a world war justly, then I would serve.

If we were physically invaded, I would not need to be drafted. I'd be there volunteering. I am essentially a pacifist when it comes to foreign actions on our part, but when it comes to my homeland, I'm all for a good fight.

what she said. Come to my place if TSHTF-I have plenty of good rifles you can choose from

Yup. I had a buddy end up getting sent home because he got mauled so badly by one of those things.

Well I would wager I have probably followed those conflicts closer than you have, and so can rather dismiss the idea that awareness of our ineffective and insufficient activity in Syria would require refusal to partake.
I will end our discussion by saying that I find it strange that you have a picture of Ben Franklin for your avatar, yet you advocate for US participation in foreign wars.

The same way the mother of chickens that takes care of them at the factory can kill, pack and sell those chickens

So, if the war was started by us (and understand that I don't support our starting any war at all), and we were invaded by foreign forces, you would just sit idly by and wait to be killed?

I will take the pink one rainbows and unicorns on it and says Turtle's First .306 bolt action on it.

1. That answer doesn't make sense since Chicken's don't understand those concepts.

2. Still didn't answer the question.

3. For a country that doesn't exist you seem pretty invested in it.

Well, if its a war of genocide, that's an entirely separate matter. The same if my government is going to execute me for refusing to fight. It all depends on the theoretical extremes we're going to.

It would be more plausible to say I would be sent to prison or a labor camp to wait for my new masters to take control of the country, or for my old ones to turn their attention back to me.

It's a very important point for me that I don't countenance somebody making me their thrall.

Because I'm a Marine. When the Founding Fathers dealt with their first foreign policy crises, they dealt with it by declaring a neo-imperialist war in the Middle East, to include overthrowing and replacing a foreign government. And they did it with a handful of Marines, because Marines of the Old Breed were indestructible super men. And every U.S. Marine learns that story in Boot Camp, and reiterates it every time we sing our hymn.

Well, when I talk about war, I'm thinking an actual war. A Take No Prisoners kind of war. I can understand your lack of support for war in general, and I can understand your disdain at the idea of us starting a war, but if my homeland is invaded, I will fight with everything I've got.

my first firearm was my grandfather's 1911 Colt he carried in WWII. Second was a browning Lever Action 22 I got when I was 13. Third was a 870 shotgun I took to Kenya then a Winchester Super X skeet gun and then A Perazzi skeet gun after I won a couple major collegiate championships. after I got out of law school I started winning guns. THe only 30-06 bolt actions I have I inherited from my late father-A browning and a Mannlicher-Steyr with a set trigger. I have 6 Garands I obtained before those two rifles-all are DCM guns-three are rebuilt, two are "Service grade" and one is a NM target job.

The only pink rifle we have is a Colt lightweight "sporter" I bought for my wife during the clinton ban-we recently put a Pink Magpul adjustable stock and pistol grip on it

I wasn't judging you Turtle.

The option to fight for total global American imperial hegemony was not an option so I neglected to vote. Crush those who stand against the American Empire, from Paris to Beijing there is no ground we will not tread in the Unification War.

I am sorry to hear your dogs have died but I am sure that if the world were dumb enough (and as someone from the world, I do not think there will ever be a reason to invade our friend and ally) there would be no need for a draft because there would be plenty of volunteers to fight the invading forces without any need for a draft.

I know you weren't

I just didn't want a herd of BRONY's showing up if TSHTF and becoming disappointed when my wife took the only pink rifle

she will have her pink NANO 9mm on her too

In Syria, there is nothing foreign about their president, foreigners are US/Saudi backed terrorists and death row inmates released into Syria from Saudi Arabia. You should know that

9mm is useless in war.
