Re: Which is radical fringe is worse? The Weather Underground or the Tea Party? Wh
Politics and ideologies of the ORIGINAL (pre-palin hijack) Tea Party were by in large identical to those of the founding fathers, being classical Liberalism, or more or less modern day Libertarianism. Hardly something radical, as the country was founded upon those principles. Now, put it on the same playing field as Progressivism, sure, it's radical. At one point it was considered center and the norm. I would call Progressivism a scourge, parasitical in nature (using the democratic party as a host), completely at odds with everything this country stood for, stands for, and was founded upon. That's radical.
As for the weather underground, largely irrelevant. Obviously, utilization of violence puts them at the top of the radical list. Anyone else remember where Godbama was when he declared his run for president the first time around?
