Is MSM-Mainstream Media in the USA corrupted?

IMO, NPR is not corrupted.
Fox and MSNBC are....one to "offset" the other....this works NOT, at least with me.
Where is Walter Winchell....when we need him...?

I actually like al Jazeera, it is more accurate and fact based reporting then the others.
 
The problem I see with the media is that it is a political lap dog and the purpose of the freedom of the press is so that the press can be the watch dog for the people.
 
Media reporting is either to some degree biased or to some degree the result of corruption (can be of government, corporations, individuals or other organizations).
