I think the president has governed center left. He definately believes government is the solution to most problems which I disagree with. But I wouldn't call him a socialist. The stock market has nothing to do with being a sociallist or not.

$85 billion a month in free capital must flow some where. Hope you are sitting down cause when that $85 billion music stops I wouldn't want to be off the chair. And that has little to do with ofailure. His socialistic tendencies can be seen well in his health care fiasco right now.

How much of the GDP and Dow is subsidized or government.

Obama is a populist.

Obama is a populist.

I don't know about that. He seems to be someone who thinks he knows what is best for the people even if the people think differently or think they know what is best for themselves. But he is no different than any other who end up in Washington, sooner or later they all know what is best for everybody else.

Anyone who claims Obama is a socialist doesn't know what a socialist is.

How much longer can the Fed prop up stocks?

>"A big driver in the stock market's multiyear bull run is the market-friendly stimulus provided by the nation's central bank. But Wall Street wonders if the Fed can keep propping the market up forever..."<

How much longer can the Fed prop up stocks?

What's been going on, the Feds have been propping up Obama's economy since 2009.

News flash.. The Feds have always been involved in the stock market industry.

I'm sorry, but are you using the DOW as your litmus test for a president being socialist?

Sweet mother of God, I hope you're kidding. I mean, he's not a socialist, but it's really taking some restraint on my part not to do some stuff.

Yes, by all means he is a socialist. By everything I've seen, he gives all manner of socialized consideration to corporations, but seems to expect individuals to fend for themselves. The ACA is a perfect example, it's much more of a gift to insurance companies than it is healthcare for country. And the foreclosures/loan mods mess.... and the delay of the corporate mandate, but not the individual, .... need I go on? Really? Yes, like his predecessors seem to free socialize the losses, socialize mandatory customers, and allow the profits to be privatized.

:agree: And they'll argue till the moon turns blue from cold that is the reason we send them there...to make those decisions for us, whether we agree with them or not!

Hey - how is that growing income gap that everyone blamed on Bush doing these days?

Anywho, as to the OP: Obama isn't a socialist. He is and obviously has always been a Kenyan Islamist Communist Atheist. Duh-hhh...

There are times and reasons when a president or member of congress needs to go against the will of the people. But you don't have to make a habit of it.

Not so great. Continue with trickle down economics, and capitalism thats what we get

Just saying in this thread that the whole "Obama is a socialist" claim is idiotic, and just wanting to see who still believes that idiotic talking point

Incompetent statist is perhaps a better term

Everyone is a statist to some degree unless youre an anarchist.

I guess that is a truism but statist means far more than say a libertarian or even a conservative.

I guess. But its the fact of life everyone wants gov involved in a, b, or c, and out of x, y, and z.
