The entire US government is a bunch of children.
Couldn't help myself.
The entire US government is a bunch of children.
I guess you failed to read the thread, dunno
Obama and the idiots are spending more money to close open exhibits that is spent when they are open. Has nothing to do with the shutdown.
The article shows that the National Parks are closed down due to the requirements involved with conserving the wildlife and scenery this has nothing to do about who is at fault for the shutdown.
Good day Polgara :2wave:
People do change their minds. If you remember back in April or early May of 2009 CNN with Wolf Blitzer did a special on Obama's first 90 days in office. CNN conducted a survey of only those voters who voted for Obama in 2008. When the results were revealed live on CNN by Blitzer, you may have remembered the expression on Blitzer face when the results were released. 15 % of those who voted for Obama said they believe they may have made a mistake voting for Obama.
By 2010 and 2011 even MSNBC was hinting that Obama might be a one term President.
During 2012 Obama ran on lies, cover ups, and misinformation to be given a second chance and reelected. It seems to have worked.
For any young people out there who are seriously thinking of getting involved in politics and running for elected office here's a sure way of getting elected to public office. Start with getting involved with Chicago politics and read Sauhl Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals." It's a no brainier and a shoe in into a political career. Who knows, you could be President some day.
Here's the problem with those numbers, they were cooked. The Obama administration includes illegal aliens caught at the border who are immediately returned across the border. The majority of the illegal aliens that the Obama counts as being deported were never deported. It takes a court order to deport someone. So the numbers are bogus, just another Obama lie.
While the numbers are historic, they’re not dramatically larger than 2010 deportations, which were reported at “more than 392,000.”
As Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano alluded a few weeks ago, 55 percent of the deported immigrants — about 216,700 people — had criminal convictions (felonies or misdemeanors). Overall, the number of criminals deported has increased 89 percent since 2008.
This emphasis on criminal deportations is in line with changes the administration says it’s made in response to criticism (from social justice groups and state governors alike) that its Secure Communities program — a high-tech way of tracking immigration violators via fingerprint data — is sowing fear and deporting low-level offenders (or people without records at all).
But questions remain about what kind of criminals are being deported. ICE’s press release states that 87,547 had been convicted of either homicide, sexual offenses, drug-related crimes or driving under the influence. This is only about 40 percent of the total number of criminal deportations. But the release doesn’t indicate how many had low-level offenses on their record.
ICE says that 19.6 percent of detainees were repeat immigration violators, and 11.6 percent were border removals. Border Patrol apprehensions and prosecutions for illegal re-entry have dropped dramatically in the past five years, from 1,089,092 in 2006 to 463,382 in 2010. While not all Border Patrol apprehensions result in ICE removals, observers suggest that it’s fair to assume a corresponding decline. The increase in overall deportation numbers suggests that ICE is relying more on “interior” enforcement to meet its goal, mandated by Congress, of 400,000 deportations per year.
Apparently you chose to listen to talk radio instead of read.
The current polls are showing what the people are thinking today, not in the past. People change their minds all the time, which is why I stated "it's not over yet."
I think they are just blocking those public exhibits off for political means. The administration is hoping that people get pissed off that they can't see these open air exhibits and will complain to their elected officials to cave in to the democrats.
Who's acting like children? The Republicans shut down the government because they didn't get their way in the election.
Your poll should have one more option: No, it is the Republicans who are acting like children.
The House T's have voted to pay people for not working. It has everything to do with their shutdown.
Since when does the Executive Branch write laws and spend money?
It's pretty funny how you try to insult someone who demonstrated they understand how the budget impacts services when you clearly do not.
I understand the powers an administration will use to get their way.
I am sorry to are too naive to see the real world through those rose colored glasses.
Actually, it appears you don't understand what branch has what power. You just blamed the Executive branch for behavior that it cannot do per the Constitution.
Fantasy land where you get to make up what powers each branch has is just a fantasy land.
nothing, it just shows that democrats have no intention of bi-partisanship. I hope the mother****er never reopens
Sadly That is what a lot of those T's in the House are saying too. Have they no shame?
Let it stay closed. Federal employees need a taste.
Where did that come from? Hate will get you nowhere, I promise.
You're a liar. Obama and the Democrats DID get their way! In case you haven't been paying attention, there was an ELECTION. And in that election, the American people voted for a Democratic President, a Democratic Senate, and Democratic House candidates got over a million more votes than Republican ones. The American people WANT Democratic government (Capital and lower-case D), and they WANT ObamaCare -- actually, they want more than that, they want universal coverage.Spoken like a true liberal, Obama and senate shut it down because they did not get their way. I hope it stays down after what I saw today thanks to Obamacare. I called my representatives and senators today and let them know how a really felt.

It is the Republicans who didn't get what they want, and it is the Republicans who have shut everything down.
Poor progressives can't defend their leaders
Sure they can, here's how.
IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!
They wanted Obamacare until they found out Obama, Pelosi, and Reid lied their ****ing asses off about the bill. Now our whole union is crying the blues but hey Democrats have brought this on themselves. I hope we keep losing services, it will make me feel better knowing democrats are finally feeling the pinch.
How many here have been to DC? I have. There is no legitimate reason to block off the various outdoor exhibits other than Obama and company choose to act like children. Same with Mt. Rushmore. They are spending more money just to be assholes.
I know, I believe I said that though I'm sorry if it wasn't clear.
I used the article to show why the parks were closed because many people don't quite understand why and continue to badger about it.
I then asked them to realize that along with the fact these parks had to be closed, Obama really had no direct part in the shutdown, it was primarily caused by the congressional republicans.
