Should Boehner go?

Should John Boehner keep his job as the Speaker of the House?

  • Yes. He's done as good a job as he can, given the circumstances.

You seem right leaning so I have ask because my bias obviously clouds my view of him. Are you satisfied with Boehner?

Yeah I lean to the Right.....but I don't think he has shown the leadership that was needed.

I don't go for all the BS RINO crap that the Conservatives fall off into playing that harp song that was created by the left, in the first place. Which then the NEO Cons made it point to emphasize those they considered to be RINO's. Although one is left guessing for those that just want to run around and call themselves Moderate. Because as far as I know the Libertarians been around quite some time, and lean mostly to the Right. That's not to say they don't have some liberals. Still.....now you have some Moderates saying the same with leaning left and right. My solution was to call them out on what it is in Being Moderate. As in WTF is that?

I didn't understand what you meant by the bolded part. What are some things you would have liked Boehner to do differently? In my opinion, he less of a leader, more of a follower in a leadership position.

Heya Bubba. :2wave: Yeah.....Schumer is and has always been one devious prick. Good thing he is only liked up there in the NE and NY.

Means one has to question those moderates.....well one thing He should have been making alliances within the GOP and getting them on the same page. They should have been in real conferences and not out at some dinners and then just believing they could compromise with Obama. Telling Obama this is how things work.....don't cut it. If Boehner had been a leader.....then Right now. The Dems would not be holding the Senate. He Never got control of his people.

Well then I like Boehner. You guys should keep him. ;)

Boehner really doesn't want to stall the progress of the economy.
He's being forced to.

:caution: :alert you are speaking truth, most people on this forum don't know what that is!

Should John Boehner keep his job as the Speaker of the House?

This reply may totally out in left field, but I think Boehner is a good man in a bit over his head. I think Boehner would work with the president given his dithers, but is too worried about maintaining his speakership to even give it a try. He is scared those on his right with an agenda to push over good governance would dispose of him. So he tries some to work with those across the aisle, but does so with eyes in the back of his head watching members of his own party more intently than watching the democrats.

For Boehner, it is all about maintaining a job that he hasn't the guts to do right. Given another era in Washington D.C. he might have come over as an enlighten speaker, but not today.

Hahaha except Barney Frank. He should come back and be the democratic minority leader.

Barney is doing fine in Mayberry RFD.....lets keep him there. :2razz:

He would do better telling it like it is in congress. But, according to him he's happy he doesn't have to pretend to like people in politics anymore. If we was doing that, he wasn't trying too hard.

Boehner may be in a situation where he had no winning option.

Indeed. He painted himself into a corner with this one.

Hang on to your hats, folks. The debt ceiling is right around the corner.
