The hell it doesn't. They make money on their promotions.

No, teams make money. The NFL org operates entirely off dues from teams and does not profit.

So i guess dues means donuts.

Dues paid to a non-profit organization are not taxed. Money paid to employees is not taxed. There is no profit to tax.

Just because it's done doesn't mean it should be done. Try again.

Why don't you mention any of the other 73,000 non-profit orgs under c6? Because this issue is sensationalist idiocy.

Because this thread specifically addresses the NFL? I think all of those other groups ought to pay taxes too.

You don't even know a single other c6 non-profit, do you? Just admit it, you were sucked into the BILLIONS!!11!! sensationalism.

Like I asked before. are the dues measured in donuts?

Dues paid are profits earned.

Do you know a single other c6 non-profit?

Not any that make billions in profits and call it dues.

You fail to understand the situation. All of those billions are taxed, they are the profits of TEAMS. The only money in question is the 200m in dues paid by the teams to run the NFL administration.

I can't believe someone still doesn't understand this.

Paid to the nfl for what purpose?

I am not going to fall for this BS.

200 million paid to the nfl is profit for the nfl. What does that money do?

You are being sucked into sensationalist BS. All 9b of NFL TEAM profit is taxed. The teams each pay 6m per year to the NFL Organization. The NFL org takes care of the administration of the NFL. It is a non-profit business organization serving as the admin for teams and players. The NFL org does not make ANY profit and works on revenues from dues only.

Yes it does make money. It sells its status to teams. I am not falling for sensationalist anything. I am just not buying that the NFL makes no profit.

It provides administrative services for profit to the teams. revenues from dues is just BS talk for tax free profit. I am not going to be fooled, sorry.

Yes it does make money. It sells its status to teams.

It does not sell status. It makes no profit whatsoever. It exists entirely on the dues of members. It does the admin work for the team and players unions.

The NFL organization. The teams are taxed, on all of that 9b!

So, you're freaked out about 200m in dues paid to a non-profit... and you don't know a single other c6 non-profit or what any of their budgets look like.

So what do the teams pay them in donuts?

Receiving money to do work is profit, at least its called that when other companies do it.

The NFL organization. The teams are taxed, on all of that 9b!
The money that the NFL makes is not taxed. The money I earned to buy a car was taxed and then I paired sales tax on the car, that money was taxed twice?

What makes the NFL so special?

So, you're freaked out about 200m in dues paid to a non-profit... and you don't know a single other c6 non-profit or what any of their budgets look like.
I have to pay taxes. Why don't they?

Catering exclusively to the business needs of specific for profit organizations is not something a non-profit organization is allowed to do.

the American Dairy Association called, they asked me to tell you to stop pretending to know more then you do.

All of the dues are used for admin services. No profit is made. It's not a company, it pays no dividends and has no stock. It is a non-profit org that exists on dues.

The money that the NFL makes is not taxed.

This is getting idiotic. You seem unable to understand that the NFL organization makes no profits. The teams make profits (9b) and pay taxes on it.

Except there is no valid competition for profit when speaking of non-profits like this. It is a failed argument. A non-profit does not have to find the best people for their benefit. They only need someone good enough to efficiently run their operations.

There's a huge non-profit sector out there that I'm learning few people understand. Non-profit hospitals need top executives who they are the same people recuited by major for profit companies including insurance companies, pharmacutacal firms, etc. The United Way has a budget of more than most for profit businesses and needs leadership that knows both how to keep that money coming in and how to direct it to the needs that are making the best use of it. Youth With a Mission operates a fleet of cruise ships that have been converted into floating hospitals providing healthcare to under served people around the the world. Lives are in the balance. You can't hire the local elementary school PTA president to run these non-profit organizations if they are to be successful. You need people of expertise in major facilities healthcare, international law, corporate leadership, maritime law, etc. If you think the non-profit sector is just just knowing how to run a limonade stand to buy socks for the homeless you honestly don't understand the sector.

Then perhaps it is just the NFL that should be looked at. Honestly though, if you are claiming non-profit status or working for a non-profit, you should not expect to be paid high dollars, no matter how much someone may say they need you. It is wrong to believe otherwise. If these execs are making more than most for-profit firms, then the place really isn't non-profit at all, but rather for the profit of those in the top positions.

the American Dairy Association called, they asked me to tell you to stop pretending to know more then you do.

Actually I know exactly what I am talking about. The American Dairy Association exists to serve the entire dairy industry, which meets the requirements for a non profit. NFL does not promote the entire industry, they are interested in their own brand. The IRS guidelines are clear about the qualifications for can be considered a business league and the NFL doesn't meet it.
