I totally agree.
When the Syrian civil/religious war comes to an end there will be no winners.

If Assad is left standing, even he in my opinion is a loser going down in history as yet another despot dictator who valued his ability to live a life of immeasurable luxury on the country's resources more than he valued the lives of tens of thousands of Syrian men, women and children.

Putin is a loser standing on the side of history that has backed a homicidal madman. When history books are written Putin will be listed among those of poor repute.

America is a loser because after decades of entanglement in the Middle East with horrific consequences many if not most Americans still think supporting the continued monopoly personal transportation fuel through who knows how many billions in military costs over the decades is the more cost effective to tax-payers than temporary electric car tax credits. OPEC is a free market institution. The best solution we can come up with is to pursue an energy agenda that insurers the highly volatile anti-American Middle-East will continue to have a global market for their valuable commodity and thus funding for terrorists who want to kill us and dedicators.

America is the biggest loser. We were told to fund and care about something we should've done neither to.

True, but I'd bet that while AQ =/= extremist, most of them are.

AlQ does = extremist.

The US secretary of state claims only 15-25% are extremists. I'll take his word over yours.

Nah, the Syrian people are the biggest losers.

How's that? The Russians secured the elimination of WMD (ROTFLOL)... and they're still killing each other and cleansing the nation of Christians.

Obama was the biggest loser. Why? Because the world finally saw what the man of werdz is like under pressure. In one word... INEPT.

...they're still killing each other and cleansing the nation of Christians.

The Syrian people aren't doing that. The combatants are. The Syrian people are being slaughtered. That's why they are the biggest losers in this whole mess.

No... they're still fighting for something.

What do you propose?

my mistake then

By far and away the biggest losers are the republicon party.
The party who could never find enough wars to wage and can never agree with the President found themselves in a strange predicament.
If they express their desire to bomb anyone in the middle east, as they always have, they agree with the president. If they disagree with him they end up looking squishy soft on a middle east, mass murderer, dictator.
After much repiglicon running around with their repiglicon heads up their repiglicon arses their dilemma is finally ended when Kerry and Obama find a diplomatic solution when Assad chickened out under the threat of military action. It is better for all involved ...except the repiglicons. They have proved to the world that they have no morality, principals or any real concern for humanity.
Their only real concern is to do all they can to make the President look bad.
Shameful hacks... all of them.

Not saying I completely disagree with you here, but it struck me as ironic that your post seemed....hackish.

Everyone in this deal is considered a winner in my book. Getting rid of chemical weapons is the right thing and everyone wins from this.

question was about crisis, not deal.

Or at least I think so.
