Jesse Ventura 2016 Debates

And Obama's mother was an American and Obama was born in the USA. That is something that Ted Cruz who was born in Canada and Daddy Romney was born in Mexico. Those are the facts. They might have been born outside the USA but for the law they are natural born Americans and I agree with that. Just like Obama is a natural born American.

My response was just to show how hypocritical your comment was about how Democrats are the ones who prefer candidates with more than one nationality.

Barack Obama's father was a British subject and a citizen of Kenya. Under "The Law of Nations" which the Fourteenth Amendment is based upon or was until 2008, "Son follows the condition of his father."

Barack Obama was a native born American citizen, not a "natural born citizen."

Barack Obama was also a "Red Diaper Baby." His father was a Marxist and his mother may or may not been a communist but no one argues that she wasn't a communist sympathizer.

Barack Obama also didn't always consider himself as an American. In his book, "Dreams From My Father" in Obama's own words, "I never looked upon myself as being an American but as an internationalist."

I know why they do it, but what is the logic behind allowing a dozen candidates on stage for the primary, but only 2 for the presidential debate? More choice and dialogue is what democracy is about, or so i thought.
But there is a danger in allowing "democracy" to run amuck...ask Egypt...
Also, successful democracy requires an intelligent educated people.
Do we have this ?

Really comedic. FYI, who had a Panamanian born presidential candidate? Who is planning on Cruz, born in Canada to be on the primary ballot? The latest republican candidate may have been born in the USA but from a foreign born father. Romney's daddy campaigned to become the republican candidate in 68 even though he was born in Mexico. Barry Goldwater was born in New Mexico when it was not even a US state.
So what...

Well we do have about 300 million people in the USA and some of them claim to be educated.

How intelligent they are is open to question.

Being born to someone does not make a person a "red diaper baby". His father had nothing to do with how Obama was raised. And his mother was working on micro financing in which poor people get small loans to become their own boss/start their own companies which does not comply with communism at all.

And how he felt, growing up in foreign countries, does not change the fact that he was and is a natural born American.

The indicator for voter intelligence will rear its ugly head when we see who people try to bring into high offices over the next couple of major elections.

For instance: Rand Paul, the apparent Tea Party favorite just publicly praised Syria's Assad for fighting to save "the Christians". Who will vote for Rand?

I believe that most of the people who follow this forum have a pretty good idea where Rand Paul is coming from.
He will have the support of a lot of far right evangelicals, the Ayn Rand groupies and some other wackos.

The only way that he will ever see the inside of the White House is as a visitor.

Most conservatives in California voted for McClintock for Governor not Arnold. It was Democrats who put Arnold in Sacramento.

Sonny Bono was elected as a Congressman. He ran on his record as the mayor of Palm Springs.
Sonny was a pretty good Congressman and also accomplished a lot for those living in his Congressional District.

I am sorry, but who actually cares about what the Law of Nations said? The only thing that the 14th Amendment says is:

That is the only thing the 14th amendment says. And FYI, we are no longer living in the American revolutionary period, women have the same rights as men and stipulations that only the father is the one who gives through rights are totally out of date.

Why not. It might be entertaining...besides if he gets confused or riled up he can always out-wrestle and lay some smack-down on the other debators. That'll win the debate right? ;)
