Does God exist? Not likely, but we do and that's improbable as well so it's possible. The personal god however, the gods of the Bible, not a chance in hell.

It would be a very sad world if there was no God. To think that this life is all there is.

"Other"

There's absolutely no way to know.

Breaking news, this is all there is, there's almost no chance of anything else. On the other hand, no Heaven means no Hell.

2013

I though everyone knew that GOD does not exist.

Congratulations, ToL, this comment has reached 100% objectionableness.

Do I believe god(s) exist? No. Does that mean god(s) do not exist? No. I have not been convinced with objective evidence that god(s) or unicorns or Bigfoot or extraterrestrials exist, the answer is the same for all.

Reality is what actually is. How you feel about it is irrelevant.

I am no authority on religion but I believe Jesus once said "blessed are those that have not seen and believe'" a follower by the name of "Doubting Thomas" comes to mind.

Agreed. So why do you feel compelled to tell me the obvious?

I chose - I don't care.

But I suppose a lot would depend on the definition of God. I do not believe in the biblical god and quite frankly I think that anyone who believes in the bible are brainwashed fools that needs to learn a little history on the so called book of god. Even if the original writings were the word of god the bible has been manipulated by man for centuries to fit the churches agenda at any given time. What many religions teach today is NOT the same as it was a two or three thousand years ago and nor is the bible.

I mean even if god does exist unless god is found and is shown to have some significance in my existence or well being I do not see how he would be relevant in my life.

Its called "having faith".

The same principal upon which a child's belief in Santa Clause is predicated.

Which is all well and good as far as it goes.

If "having faith" makes you feel better about yourself, life, the dark, whatever, then enjoy it.

But I still maintain that it is completely impossible to know that God exists (I think it is equally impossible to claim that you know that God doesn't exist).
