If you can't bounce a photon off of it, you have no chance. You can sit around all day and philosophize over weather or not some demon or deceitful god has changed the observed age of the universe or made fossils look older than they are. But it gets you nowhere less you can measure the demon or the god.

What do you mean by "measure?"

Also libertarianism, law and order, government, foreign policy, etc. Religion isn't special, it's just another in a line of topics to argue and debate.

You're literally on every thread related to religion. If I had to guess, I'd say you're quite emotionally invested in the topic. Which is good. Religion is important.

Am I? I'm not sure you could literally back that statement up.

Yeah....

Well, I guess we all can make arguments as simple or complicated as we want.

I personally haven't been challenged in anyway that my senses or my physical experiences has allowed me to adopt any concepts or philosophies that have lead some to believe that there is a god.

Obviously, we both see responses from posters who, for whatever reason, believe that they have conceptual, philosophical reasons, in lieu of scientific evidence, that is concrete enough for their belief in god. I can't understand that reasoning..but it exist.

So I'll end my post this way: I would say that the preponderance of evidence doesn't support the existence of god...for me.

Rather there is no evidence that would support the existence of gods. Philosophy can lead people to BELIEVE there is a god, but it cannot bring knowledge of the god in and of itself. That will take a measurement and gods are defined by the religious to be immeasurable.

That's because you can't go on the religion forum and claim God doesn't exist. Takes some of the luster out of it for you.

But I guarantee you, the next time someone starts a "creation vs evolution" debate, you'll be there.

Specifically on that one, usually. Have to try to correct YECers use, or rather misuse, of science.

So I guess you lied, huh? On two fronts. 1) I haven't commented on literally ever religious thread. 2) I actually have posted in some threads in the religion forum thus your insinuation that I wouldn't because I cannot say gods don't exist is incorrect.

Man, striking out all over the place tonight, literally. HAHAHAHAH, j/k, that's not a literal statement.

I didn't say NO EVIDENCE that would support the existence of god. I said the preponderance of evidence. That means that as we have evolved, over time, in our growing knowledge about ourselves, our world, our universe...that I believe that we are seeing more and more evidence that would exclude the existence of god...rather than build evidence of the existence of god.

In addition...I said that I (meaning me, because I don't live inside other's experience) have not been challenged by my senses or physical experiences that allows me to adopt the belief in god.

To be honest, I don't care why you are atheist because your reasons...or your reasons. My reasons...or my reasons. Ikari...I think that my previous posts were clear...and you have to take it to a completely unnecessary conclusion. So be it.

Awww, don't be mad bro. I said there is no evidence which supports gods, and that is currently true. Does it mean there will never be? If gods are ever brought into the world of measurement, then there certainly can be.

The proof is for the positive, you don't prove gods DON'T exist, you have to collect evidence to prove that they DO, well if you want to claim knowledge. And that takes measurement.

Not mad bro...but you got the last words in...your happy. And if you're happy, I'm tickled pink.

So...however you feel "measure" works for you...groovy.

Like you're not going to chime in either way?

You, Ikari, and a couple others are attracted to threads on religion like a flies are attracted to ****.

Well, religion is ****, so...
