Why would god have a sex or gender? Is there some other god to **** and reproduce with that we aren't aware of?

I doubt it has one or the other, but is likely all concepts rolled into one. ;)

The odds are the God doesn't look a whole lot like you do.

This is completely contrary to Judeo-Christian theology. I hope you are not misrepresenting Jehovah. Any student of the English language knows that the pronoun He, His and Him are masculine in nature.

Did someone specify that we are only to discuss the Judeo-Christian concept of God in this thread, and I missed it? God is many different things, to many different people.

He has to be. My old man always referred to me as the Boss. I thought that concept was a given. ;)

My old lady was referred to as, "Cold as Ice" and "Evil Woman"

If god created man in his imagine and god is male then why is female the default sex of the species? Isn't that strange? Why would man come first and act like it came second?

I was about to go with female but all of a sudden the spirit filled me, I saw a bright White light, and I KNEW that the only correct answer was combination.

Yeah, give me hermaphodite for 50, Bodhi.

No. I just wanted to make sure he wasn't talking about Jehovah.

Whatever it is...it needs to go back to "Creation University". I think it missed a few classes on human sexuality.

The man always cums first. Whoops! I misspelled that. The man always comes first.

Sure. It's easy to get all the correct answers after seeing a bright light. :2mad: Not fair! It's just not fair. :2mad:

Convenient, isn't it? Doesn't make it true or real. If anything, it seems disrespectful to presume the creator of the universe looks just like me.

Wow, I think I'd much rather be the Boss. The Boss has a vested interest in the working relationship. ;)

I would have preferred to call her my "Pretty Woman" with a "Whole Lotta Love" but instead she was a "Strange Kinda Woman" suffering from "Mean Woman Blues"...

It is common for people to believe the Bible is the best reference to God. I was using Manager A Female Flying Spaghetti Monster as reference to God. In these two works of literature the gender of God is clearly defined.

I think there is a lot of confusion. I am not making any declarations. I just want to make sure that nobody claims that Jehovah is gender neutral without giving a sufficient argument. If you are referring to another god then I prefer that you define that god. If you are working with an undefined god then anything goes. You can make up all the answers as you go.

If there is no reference point then your claims are as good as anybody else's claims. If you are using the Bible as a reference point the topic must be debated with the use of the Bible. Ooey gooey feelings cannot be applied when the answer is so clearly defined. Ooey gooey is reserved for those who make up things as they go. Ooey gooey shouldn't be utilized by people who truly believe in the Bible.

I've never viewed any versions of the Bible as being anything but fiction, written by men, as a method of establishing rules of governance and rewarding the writers.

My personal view of a god, I use the term "The Flame" (credit to D. K. Moran) and this is a force that created the Universe (it came from somewhere, right?) and is not comprehensible to a human. The gender assignment is by the writers, who lived in a Patriarchal age. My answers are as valid and provable as anyone elses. The difference is that The Flame does not require prayer or money to satisfy it. Indeed, it is unlikely that The Flame is even aware of us, considering the size of the Universe.

The Bible has rigid standards. The Flame does not. Don't misunderstand my passionate defense of the maleness of God. I am passionately asserting that Jehovah is male. The flame, a loosely held personal god or a higher power do not have the same rigid standards as the Bible. I will pull the BS flag if anyone asserts that Jehovah is gender neutral.

If you make up a god to fit your personal lifestyle, political agenda or pleasurable emotions then you are free to make up things as you go. Most people opting to make up their own god will probably choose combination. Those who have read the Bible and respect it's text will be voting male on this poll. If you love being a Christian because it feels good, if you secretly hate the Bible because of it's patriarchal overtones then you may decide to vote combination.

I'm not sure who would be voting female unless there are other Managerians in our midst. I voted female but I am a devout Managerian.

Jesus was a male human as God in the Flesh.

God is given a male persona, but He is Spirit and as such doesn't male or female in the sense that we think of them. He is ascribed masculine pronouns and called God the Father, but He isn't "male."

What exactly is a Managerian? I tried Google without success.

You can assig genders to your god any way you want. All of this is pure speculation without an iota of evidence. But if beliefs make you a better person, I support them.
