Well, I pretty much agree with everything that you have said.

Obama has been more of a centrist than I would have liked him to be. But getting re-elected gives him a passing grade in my book. Now we'll just have to wait and see how history judges him. I believe that he will be graded a lot higher than G.W. Bush.

The revisionist have already wrote Obama's history back before he was elected POTUS back in 2008.

Since most historians tend to be liberals I am going to guess that Obama will look OK in the history books.

What about the British, French and German historians ?

In fact you're in a better position to opine on that than most of us.

B minus. Successes in aptly reducing the fiscal deficit, the implementation of both the ARRA and TARP, kickstarting social reforms and a generally competent foreign policy. Negatives in term of healthcare reform implementation and results, in addition to his penchant for demagoguery.

What's the oxygen content on your planet?

If the current laws that govern federal taxes and spending do not change, the budget deficit will shrink this year to $642 billion, CBO estimates, the smallest shortfall since 2008. Relative to the size of the economy, the deficit this year—at 4.0 percent of gross domestic product (GDP)—will be less than half as large as the shortfall in 2009, which was 10.1 percent of GDP.

My own personal grading system

A's - made progress worthy of having your face on currency, such as reforming the economy and educational systems into the envy of the world (e.g.)
B's - fine. Did your job well, made some progress perhaps, but mostly just didn't screw anything up.
C's - squandered opportunities and failed to deliver on expectations
D's - clearly contributed to the decline of the country, such as economically and diplomatically as happened under Bush II.
F - country goes into civil war

Under this standard, clearly a solid D. He a Bush....peas in a pod.

I think we oughta let projections play out before giving anyone credit. Those jokers have been horribly wrong before.
Fair enough, but it's important to note that in recent years they have been overly pessimistic. The deficit in the current FY thus far is well within range of the 642 billion figure. 60 plus percent deficit reduction in a mere four years following a crisis of that magnitude would undoubtedly be viewed as a signature accomplishment.

I don't think he can work with the opposition. The Republicans' credibility rests in not cooperating with Obama.

The two heads of the Republocrat party loves to play party politics. Ain't nothing new, just the proliferation of the status quo.

The same could be posted about either party...

Spending out of control and then cutting back is hardly magic.

I gave him an F because I've heard his golf game is slightly improving.

C+, slightly better than the C I gave his first two terms.

Obama is little more than Bush's 3rd and 4th term. At least Bush III didn't get us involved in another Asian/Middle East land war. Yet.

That is a caricature of what actually occurred. Spending and deficit levels were slated to increase in 2009 due to massive dips in employment and growth regardless of the White House Occupant, as evidenced by the projections released the month he took office. What was a surprise is the both the severity of the downturn and the pace at which we've reduced the deficit in the time following. The CBO prior to this year did not expect us to reach deficits of this magnitude (projected), till the year 2017.

C'mon, this is like giving Bush a Peace Prize for reducing the number of troops in Iraq.

If that's all ya got

You're effectively praising the fox for leaving one hen in the hen house. When that hen lays eggs, you'll say the fox increased the chicken population as if he never raided the place.

Stick to gardening.

I'd give him a C (which isn't a choice for some reason). He's very average.

What, I'm not qualified to kiss Obama's ass? Watch out or I'll take your job.
Nah, your analogies just flat out stink. Grade A cornball material. No offense intended.

OC...the operative word is indeed "YET"........

There's an alleged chemical war being conducted in Syria...and Bush III said that doing that would be a game changer for him. The claim's been made before and O didn't take any action. So, we'll see said the blind man to his deaf brother.

O can be an unpredictable guy...which I'm sure you've keenly noticed.

I'll admit the second one was a reach and rambled at the end, but the first one was right on.

It's kinda ridiculous to praise someone for lessening a 'problem' they created.
