I'm sorry, but I'm failing to see whatever point you're trying to make.

He apparently wants to enjoy the smug feeling of being able to say

HEY I DID SOMETHING

even if it has no positive results

They can go under any flag they like, as long as it isn't ours.

Maybe that's the ultimate solution. Remove ALL nationalities and have the athletes compete as independent individuals (or independent teams for team sports).

Unfortunately, the games would still have to be held somewhere, and somebody would still get all butt hurt over something, and would encourage another boycott.

The State Department can choose to deny the athletes their visas but I believe that it would just be a little mean.
They wear our flag. If we say stay home, and they are patriotic, they do.

Not if they follow the rules.

What if the rule was Pray to Allah, would you still feel it was just a cultural thing? What if the rule was you can kiss anyone, as long as it's the same sex? You all good with that? It's the same difference.

That rather defeats the entire point of the games.

Why would they be arrested and deported as long as they aren't making out in public. I don't see why there is a need for a boycott at all. Just don't show that you're gay in public while you're in Russia. I don't think Russia cares what we think anyway.

No, they don't.

that's even more idiotic than your other claims in this thread

they worked hard and you want to ruin their dreams

WTF have you done to give you authority over their lives?

None of those are the rules though. Just don't perform any homosexual acts out in public and there shouldn't be a problem.

It doesn't matter whether they care, it matters that we do.

The requirements are the same, come to the games but don't be who you are. That's not the American Way.

the American way should be freedom

and people like you should be ignored when you demand that others be punished just so you can feel good
