If you don't know, I encourage you to read about it and figure out what you are. There are some standardized tests but if you read enough about them you can figure yourself out.

The poll answers only allow 10 so, because there are 16, I've included the 9 most common types and "Other" encompasses the other 7, so specify if you're "other."

FYI, the poll answers are also in order from most common to least.

Lastly, in addition to your personality type, indicate something concise about your political views.

I'll start. I'm a strong INTP and my political views are described as predominantly libertarian except with environmentalistic, pro-financial regulation and pro-reproductive control leanings.
I lost interest around question 12. These quizzes bore me.

I don't even remember the last time I took the Myer-Briggs test. I think it was 8 years ago in a college course - and I don't recall it being INTJ. It was close, definitely IN. . . "The Scientist" description doesn't seem to suite me because I'm also a procrastinator. LOL. They need to measure positives and faults and determine how that affects your personal preferences.

One thing I've always disagreed with: the idea that preferring to be surrounded by people leas to you being an extrovert, and favoring lesser people is introverted. I think the reasons for preferring one over the other is completely misinterpreted for quite a few people.

What I've seen: is that some people favor small groups do they can be more noticed, active, involved = extroverted. Standing out, being see is harder in large numbers.
Some people favor large groups so they can be less noticed, active, uninvolved = introverted. Like - blending in, and not being seen is easier in smaller numbers.

According to Captain Adverse's test, I'm INTJ.

INTJ

Introvert(67%) Intuitive(50%) Thinking(25%) Judging(1%)
•You have distinctive preference of Introversion over Extraversion (67%)
•You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%)
•You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%)
•You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)

According to Lutherf's link, this makes me the following.

INTJ - The Scientist

Independent, original, analytical, and determined. Have an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence, and structure. Driven to derive meaning from their visions. Long-range thinkers. Have very high standards for their performance, and the performance of others. Natural leaders, but will follow if they trust existing leaders.

I guess it's more or less accurate, though the description kind of sounds suspiciously broad to me.

I'm an INFP, from the above link. Sounds about right.

INFP - The Idealist

Quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which they strive to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened. Usually talented writers. Mentally quick, and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people.

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (56%)
You have distinctive preference of Intuition over Sensing (62%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (38%)
You have moderate preference of Perceiving over Judging (56%)

As far as political views, they generally come from my sense of right and wrong, and not from a specific ideology.

I selected ENFP, took the test and am ENTJ.
There you have it, for what it's worth.

I had to take one of those stupid MBTIs back in general psych my freshman year.

I can already tell you what I am without taking it again: INTJ

and for the other post I I posted that i got from another link...ISTP

ISTP - The Mechanic
Quiet and reserved, interested in how and why things work. Excellent skills with mechanical things. Risk-takers who they live for the moment. Usually interested in and talented at extreme sports. Uncomplicated in their desires. Loyal to their peers and to their internal value systems, but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done. Detached and analytical, they excel at finding solutions to practical problems.

The Scientist description fits me far more. ...I'm a horrible mechanic...just as my brother lol.

Took the test and it told me "INFP":

Introvert(33%) iNtuitive(25%) Feeling(25%) Perceiving(22)%

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (33%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (25%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (22%)

As for political opinions, I guess I strongly believe in constitutional values, such as basic civil rights and human rights, democratic/republican government and an open and inclusive society. I usually disagree with extremists of any kind, especially when they justify violence to achieve their goals, rather than using the political process to strife for their goals, and/or deny other groups the right to participate on equal footing. And I prefer pragmatism over ideology. Freedom, equality and security all have their merits and should be wisely balanced.

At first I thought the idea of sorting all people into sixteen categories and expecting it to mean much of anything was kind of stupid. But then I took the test and ended up with ENTJ, putting me with the same type as leaders like Napoleon, Caesar, Alexander Hamilton, and FDR.

Obviously, I was wrong and these tests are extremely accurate. Now bow down before me.

intj in a strange strange world. Libertarian views, undecided views on select topics.
