Is this a good explanation for sequestration?

"Support for universal background checks went across party lines: 89 percent of Republicans and 93 percent of Democrats and independents were in favor, as well as 93 percent of gun households and 85 percent of those living in a household with a member of the National Rifle Association."

Again a liberal poll where anyone on the other end of the phone line can claim anything they want doesn't mean squat. What matters is the fact 2nd amendment supporters were the majority of people who contacted their elected officials in pro-2nd amendment states telling them not to support UBC. If there really was this huge support for universal background checks then it would have already been signed into law right now.

Here's a better examplanation of Sequestration.

A wife and husband go over their family finances because they're having issues paying the bills.

The Husband suggests the wife keeps spending too much on clothes and shoes while the Wife keeps suggesting the husband spends too much on tools and yard work.

They both agree that they'll talk about it again next month, with each of them coming up with a plan on how to cut their monthly expenses so they can cover all their debts.

They come back and the Husband's plan mostly just cuts the spending on Clothes and shoes, while the Wife's comes back with the idea that the Husband should just get a second job at night and cut out some of his tools since he won't need them anymore. Neither plan is acceptable to the other and they keep arguing.

Finally, bills start coming in and because they can't agree they end up spending less money across the board...so less on clothes and shoes, less on tools and yard equipment, but also less on groceries, less on their outings together for dates, less on their cable package, etc.

So because neither of them could come to a conclussion that the other one could reasonably get behind their entire financial life was thrown into turmoil because the bills don't stop coming and that money had to come from somewhere.
