Re: Should a convicted violent felon be allowed to own guns after release from prison

If all that is stopping this person from re-offending is the opportunity to obtain a weapon, why on earth would you want to let them out of prison to begin with?

Re: Should a convicted violent felon be allowed to own guns after release from prison

Where are you getting that from?

From the very act of treason. It is a declaration of renunciation of ones citizenship.

None of our laws say anything about someone guilty of treason losing all rights as an American citizen.

Tell that to Anwar Al-Awlaki.

Re: Should a convicted violent felon be allowed to own guns after release from prison

Violent offenders, especially especially those convicted of murder, rape, assault with a deadly weapon and acts of treason should not.

Shouldn't those people never be let out of prison?
