I don't agree with the post you're responding to, but since when are dimples a birth defect?

Dimples are a genetic defect where the skin and facial muscle don't attach. While I guess you're right that they aren't necessarily a birth defect as some do move, many people are born with dimples that never move, thus a birth defect.

I was more referring to the genetic condition that occasionally causes facial muscle tissue to improperly connect to facial skin.
