Are there any new wars we should be willing to fight?

By "new", I mean potential conflicts that we are not currently engaged, but could be if the circumstances fall just right.

1) Iran?
2) Syria?
3) North Korea?
4) Something else that is escaping my mind at the moment?

The only one that I could say 'yes' to is North Korea... and then ONLY if they do something incredibly stupid such as a direct attack/invasion of South Korea. I wouldn't want to, but I think we'd have no choice.
 
The North Pole. The damn elves are melting the ice caps trying to drown us. Water is a weapon of mass destruction and we need to go after them and anybody who has it to use against us.

I see your point about N Korea but IMO we need to fight no more wars.

We've worn out our military,they need to be brought home for

National defense at home !

I am 100% in agreement with this, but can envision a possible scenario with NK that we might not be able to avoid.
 
Not sure, but we need to be more active in solving the Pakistan, and India boarder dispute before they obliterate each other, and possibly send us into nuclear winter.

Yeah that is something we need to stay the hell away from. The nuclear winter things is unrealistic. Pakistan keeps its nukes disassembled and stored in pieces in multiple locations to keep the crooks from getting their hands on them.
 
We need to be ready and willing to fight North Korea and Iran if worse come to worse, but we certanly shouldn't be looking to deliberately to start a conflict if we can avoid it.

Our major concern should be simply staying ahead of China and Russia in terms of technology, tactics, and security. If an existential military threat is going to come from an sector, it is going to be there.

Last I heard, they were storing their warheads in unmarked delivery vans.

India has said that if they have another attack like Mumbai that they will attack Pakistan, which could cause Pakistan to use their nukes on India, which would then result in India retaliating with nukes. Not a good thing, considering that it is estimated that if 100 nukes are set off at the same time it is likely to do very serious damage to our o-zone.

and Israel makes all these backhanded threats toward Iran but they never happen.

Well with the end of the world on the table, the least we could do is stop funding Pakistan so they won't have the funds to send terrorists to the Kashmir border.

Or we could cut India off from those super duper trade deals we have given them. Your position sounds to me like you do not want the US to be an honest broker so much as you want US kids to die so Indian kids don't have to and we can be the object of the ensuing terrorism so India is not. I have no desire for the US troops and nation as a whole take one for India when India is more than capable of taking care of its own affairs.

I never said we need to go to war with Pakistan, I said we need to try to help them broker some kind of deal for peace.
