Right-Wingers Only: Would you vote for Sarah Palin in the primary?

That is true to a large extent, but there are subsets of that party that would oppose it. However, they aren't the one in charge of the Party and are too small of a minority to more than ameliorate Centralization. Because there does exist some subsets of the Republican Party that are aginst that I do not consider the Rpub party in the same way as the Democrat.

That's because the Republican Party is, in a large way, the same as the Democrats. Other than their weird social policies, which are just as weird as the liberals, the two parties are almost indistinguishable.

I'm not a right winger though I get accused of that enough that I will take it as a free backstage pass. Yes I would. I love Sarah Palin.

Take that up with Todd.

Glad to see that, as of this writing, nearly 65% of Cons say "no way" as I was beginning to wonder if the Cons had lost all sense. This, at least, suggests that intelligent life remains on the other side of the aisle.

Fast forward to 2015/2016 and imagine Sarah Palin runs for President. Would you vote for her in the primary?
Obviously, it would depend a lot on who else was in the field. Sarah is obviously a lovely example of healthy femininity. Sadly though, that makes her about the most masculine prominent Republican right now. :(

Besides the fact she's unelectable there are probably a few dozen Republicans I would vote for before her.

The moment she started to empower Birthers was the moment I wouldn't be voting for her.

I'm only very slightly right. At this point, I cannot even tell you which primary, Dem or Rep, I am going to vote, much less whom.

Frankly, the Rep side is usually fairly decided by the time we get it. Most likely I will vote for the least electable, biggest idiot on the Dem's ballot, unless, of course, there is other reasons to vote the Rep primary.

In either case, probably no. While I don't have any particular hatred of her, I just don't think she would be a good President.

l would prefer madonna or a gay black female athe

usa has a charisma .let it remain please
haha:mrgreen:

Sarah Palin had her best moments when she challenged the old-boy network in Alaskan politics. On the national stage, all she really did was performing annoying cheerleading exercises, while demonstrating a lack of ideological coherence and giving bad name to the tea party movement (of which the media appointed her some sort of mascot, without any rhyme or reason).

I don't think she is malicious, in the Michelle Bachmann way, but voting for her - no way. Not that there will be a chance, of course.

So you don't believe her reason for leaving her job in Alaska?

No. She shouldn't even think of sticking her little toe in the presidential water. I do like her, but not as a national candidate. She's out of her depth on the national stage. She was dragged in long before she was ready, and the result is an image she can't overcome. National politics is blood sport. She couldn't handle the political pressure in Alaska. What would make anybody think she could handle even that now?

Actually, I can't think of a better person for the Tea Party movement, I mean, how many did she help get elected? Don't you like Ted Cruz.....well then, thank Sarah Palin. Maybe you just don't have the stomach to stick with an influential candidate.

I wouldn't. I know she is very capable of firing up the republican base, but outside of that, she reminds me Lucy, as in I love Lucy. Matter of fact I might even vote for Lucy over Sarah.

Evening Polgara:2wave:

Oh yeah.

Boy, it was hot here today....90!

She's denied it so many times that it may be true? :lamo:

Yep, we've jumped once again directly from Winter to Summer! Is this affecting your work day?

Other than being uncomfortably hot, no:)

It is supposed to go back down into the high 60's, low 70's later this week though. I prefer the 50's and 60's for working.
