Ron Paul vs. Mike Gravel

When I was going through my Libertarian phase, I was into Mike Gravel pretty big. As his candidacy waned during the 2008 election, and the Libertarian movement became more right-wing, I lost interest. I still agree with much of what he stood for.

According to his positions on wikipedia, I agree with them all except for Obamacare. As such, I cannot vote for him because no self-respecting libertarian would ever identify with someone who adamantly supports UHC.

Ron Paul reluctantly.

How about no way in hell would I vote for either of them?

I'm surprised this poll didn't get a more attention, what with all the Libertarians on the board. Perhaps Mike Gravel is not well known enough for people to make a distinction.

Ron Paul.....

I like some of Gravels positions, and have since the 70's....but I like more of Paul's,
Gravels position on the constitutional convention he wants was intriguing, but I had to oppose it due to it's inherent unconstitutionality... and the inherent danger of him getting his amendment ( as written)
his unabashed support for some of our largest and most overreaching federal programs was kind of a turn off too, but i guess everyone is entitled to advocate for populism to one extent or another...

a Paul/ Gravel ticket would be just fine with me.... but those days have past us by, it's best to look to current politicos and make our choices, not focus on past figures .

Mike gravel because he supports single payer

I voted before reading the Wiki's and I would like to change my vote to Gravel.
