The US national debt is constantly rising and approaches 17 trillion. Should taxes be raised to pay it off?

What's your solution to the problem? :)

No.... the revenue that is raised from this hypothetical tax hike will more than likely not be used to pay off the debt. So why should be throwing money at an irresponsible governing body, both legislative and executive.
