Can you call yourself Christian and be for genicide in the Womb?
Can you call yourself Christian and be for genicide in the Womb?
Can you call yourself Christian and be for genicide in the Womb?
To the poll, yes, because I am.
To the question in the OP, no way, because that's GOT to be painful for the mother. How could you get an entire religion or race inside a womb?!?
Yes, I believe you can.
Nowhere in the Tanach are there any statements forbiding such an act.
Nowhere in the Gospels of Jesus are there any statements forbiding such an act.
And, lets rephrase your OP.
Genocide?
Lets see. An Embryo is....
A nationality? No
A Racial Group? No
A Political Group? No
A cultural group? No
It appears that an unborn human-like organism does not fall under any of these categories, and therefore, does not quality for the term genocide.
That just about sums up the intelligence of this debate.
True people of faith believe life begins at conception.........
The No True Scotsman argument.
Can you call yourself Christian and be Pro Abortion/Choice?
Can you call yourself Christian and be for genicide in the Womb?
NavyPride has found humor!!!! :lamo:lamo:lamo Very funny statement...unless...were you...serious?

I speak for Christians..........We believe life begins at conception.....It is taught in our doctrine................
Instead of attacking me try and bring something of value to the subject of the thread...........thanks.......
Since being Christian means you accept that Christ died on the cross for your sins, yes you can. And I'm pro-Life, but I know anyone who wants to be can be Christian.
Lol, I don't know, maybe that's why He came when they used Crosses.
Try these questions.
Can you call yourself Christian and be:
against slavery?
against working on the sabbath?
pro death penalty?
prowar?
against helping the poor?
a supporter of wearing clothes from mixed threads?
a person who touches a football made of pig?
etc. etc. etc.
a supporter of wearing clothes from mixed threads? huh?
a person who touches a football made of pig? huh?

This is obviously a reference to Leviticus 19:19:
"Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee."
This is probably a reference to the dietary restrictions prescribed in Leviticus 11.
"11:3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.
11:4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
1:5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud , but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
1:6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud , but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
11:8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you."
Pretty explicit stuff, I'd say.
Ironic that in the midst of all this, God never found time to say word one about abortion.
But the really relevant question, in my mind is, what's your stance on shellfish?
Because, look here:
Lev 11:9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
11:10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11:11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
11:12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
And then, blah-blah-blah, God goes on to caution followers about the moral dangers inherent in consuming ospreys, vultures, and other birds of prey.
So, anyone: Shellfish?
Should we boycott Red Lobster, picket Long John Silver's?
Dear God, won't somebody please think of the children!!
